Nationals vs Braves Pickswise Expert Predictions
There are only 3 games on the MLB slate on Monday, including the Washington Nationals vs the Atlanta Braves. This game has no meaning, so it is not a spot we want to get too heavily invested in. The Braves are closing the season on a tear though, for what it is worth, having now won 8 in a row, including an absolutely devastating sweep of the Detroit Tigers over the weekend. Earlier in the week, the Braves also took 4 from the Nats, and that by a combined score of 31-10. The Money Line is juiced up way too high to mess with, so I think the right play in this game is the Braves on the Run Line.
Chris Sale takes the mound for Atlanta. He hurled 8 scoreless innings against the Nationals a few days ago, so I am not super interested in betting against him on Monday. The Nats will go with MacKenzie Gore. Gore tossed 5 scoreless against the Braves last week, but the Nats are handling him with care and limiting his pitch count since he is only making his 3rd start since returning from the IL. In short, this week does not matter for Gore; next season does. I expect the Nats to get him out of there early, and then it goes to the bullpen, and I am always standing in line to fade this Nationals’ bullpen. I think Atlanta pulls away again.
Nationals vs Braves Prediction: Braves -1.5 (-110) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
