Orlando Magic vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/04/25

The Orlando Magic will travel Tuesday to take on the Atlanta Hawks in an Eastern Conference matchup. This will be the second meeting between these teams. The Hawks won the first matchup on October 24th 111-107. Trae Young led the Hawks in scoring with 25 points in the win. The Hawks will be without Young tonight as he continues to heal from a knee injury. The Hawks are 3-4 this season and have won two of their last three games. They lost Sunday night 117-109 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jalen Johnson led the Hawks in scoring with 23 points, but the Hawks could not overcome 22 turnovers. With no true point guard in the lineup, the Cavaliers extended full court pressure throughout the game. We could see a similar strategy from Orlando tonight to create turnovers. The Magic are also 3-4, and they have won their last two games. Their last win was a 125-94 win against the Washington Wizards. Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 28 points and 11 rebounds.  

The Magic have won their last two games with their size and talent in the front court. Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero have averaged a combined 47 points in the team’s last two wins, while Jalen Suggs and Desmond Bane have been quiet by only averaging a combined 14 points in that period. If the guards don’t step up tonight, this game could be a difficult matchup against a large Atlanta Hawks starting lineup. The Hawks’ roster was built around the idea that Trae Young’s perimeter offense would open the middle of the floor for their bigs. Without Young in the lineup, that leaves Atlanta with a starting lineup with all five players at 6’5” and taller. The Hawks need to make an adjustment with Young out of the lineup, and I believe their focus on the defensive end is what can keep the club winning games. The Hawks have been struggling offensively without Young, but they are well equipped to slow down Wagner and Banchero tonight.
