The Los Angeles Clippers look to bounce back from 21-point road loss on opening night to the Utah Jazz when they host the Phoenix Suns at the Intuit Dome on Friday night. While the Clippers may have the only true home-court advantage with “The Wall,” being slated as 10-point favorites feels like a bit of a stretch. The Clippers finished 30-11 at home last season, although they dropped both of their games against the Suns — albeit these teams look much different than the season prior. Bradley Beal left the Suns to sign with the Clippers and Phoenix moved on from Kevin Durant, replacing the duo with Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green, the latter of whom will miss Friday’s contest with a hamstring injury.

Despite Green missing the Sun’s first game of the season, Phoenix beat the Sacramento Kings 120-116 with Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Grayson Allen combining for 72 points. Meanwhile, the Clippers lacked the same offensive cohesion in their opener. Ivica Zubac led Los Angeles with 19 points. Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and Bradley Beal combined for just 30 points and Beal was a non-factor, scoring only 5 points on 5 shot attempts. The Clippers may be just fine in the long haul, but it might take a little time to get things clicking on all cylinders. Let’s back the Suns as double-digit underdogs.
