We said earlier in the week that until the market corrects, we’ll keep backing the Wizards — and nothing’s changed. The market still doesn’t want them, and bookmakers know that, which is why these spreads continue to climb to absurd levels. You’re now paying a tax on not wanting to back Washington. Houston’s stock, meanwhile, is inflated. The number here isn’t built on basketball reality — it’s built on sentiment and bias. The Rockets don’t need to win; they need to destroy to cover here, and that’s a tall order in the NBA, especially against a team still has a pulse. Are the Wizards ugly? Yes. But are they more likely to be profitable here? Yes to that as well.
