Tuesday is the third day of the soccer World Cup and will see champions France will get their first opportunity to impress in Qatar.

Denmark, a semifinalist at Euro 2020, starts out against Tunisia while Mexico will be looking to get its campaign off to a winning start against Group C rivals Poland.

The afternoon game is France’s matchup with Australia and we have a 3-leg parlay that will hopefully mean a successful day. Make sure you check out all our World Cup soccer predictions and remember to gamble responsibly.

Here is the parlay we have prepared for Tuesday’s slate, which pays out at +726 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Under 0.5 Tunisia goals (-122)

Mexico ML (+155)

Under 0.5 Australia goals (-128)

3-leg parlay odds: +726

Let’s check out the reasoning behind each of our selections:

Denmark vs Tunisia: Under 0.5 Tunisia goals (-122) – 8:00am ET

Denmark is likely to fight it out with France for supremacy in Group D and the Euro 2020 semifinalist should have few problems against Tunisia in its opening game. Tunisia failed to score in 3 of its 5 games at the Africa Cup of Nations and appears to have little firepower with which  to trouble the favorites. The Danes have recorded shutouts in 8 of their last 11 wins, so the African team shouls struggle to get on the scoresheet at the Education City Stadium.

Mexico vs Poland: Mexico ML (+155) – 11:00am ET

This looks like being the most competitive game of the day and the best bet is to back Mexico to take 3 priceless Group C points. For Mexico, the job will center on stopping Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski from making a big impression and, should that be achieved, the Poles may not be able to offer much more, especially judging by their uninspiring performances in the Nations League.

Mexico, which has made a habit of falling at the second-round stage of World Cups, tends to win at least 1 group game. El Tri has good striker options in Alexis Vega and Hirving Lozano and they can lead their team to an important win.

France vs Australia: Under 0.5 Australia goals (-128) – 2:00pm ET

The France camp was rocked at the weekend with the news that Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will miss the whole tournament through injury, but don’t expect that to be a big factor when the defending champions play their first game against Australia. Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante are also missing and Didier Deschamps’ team won just 1 of its 6 Nations League games this year, but Australia may not have enough offensive talent to threaten the French defense.

The Socceroos struggled to qualify, winning just 4 of 10 Asian group matches, and needed a shootout to beat Peru in a playoff. The Aussies lost 2-1 to France 4 years ago but they do not have a strong roster this time so I’ll take Australia to fail to score a goal against France
