After a loaded MLB weekend, we get a 12-game Monday slate on tap. Aces like Zack Wheeler, Corbin Burnes, and Cristian Javier take the mound, while batting champ Luis Arraez and the Miami Marlins make their way to Coors Field. Arraez headlines our top MLB player prop bet along with other plays.

Be sure to also check out our YRFI/NRFI plays, as we’re on a 30-10 run!

Luis Arraez, MIA, Over 1.5 total bases (-125)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

The batting champ makes his way to the top spot of our top MLB player prop bets. Luis Arraez is hitting .382 on the season and even more importantly .393 against right-handed pitchers. Arraez originally had the day off on Sunday but pinch-hit in the 6th inning. He went 0-for-2 with 2 lineouts and will look to answer today in friendly Coors Field.

Arraez will face off against veteran Chase Anderson, who has yet to give up a run in 10 innings pitched this season. He made his first start for the Rockies last week against the Cincinnati Reds and put on a clinic. He allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in 5.0 innings but failed to get run support. It’ll get tougher tonight against the Marlins who are hitting righties at a .254 clip in the last 2 weeks and now get the pleasure of playing at Coors Field. I’ll gladly buy the dip on Anderson and back the most disciplined hitter in all of baseball.

Cristian Javier, HOU, Over 6.5 strikeouts (-105)

Line available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.

After a sluggish start to his 2023 campaign, Javier is in mid-season form. His ERA was as high as 5.40 to start the year and has now dipped down to a season-low 3.25. He is pitching at his best in May, with a 2.84 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 19.0 innings pitched. Weirdly enough, Javier has registered at least 7 strikeouts in all 3 road starts but is 0-for-6 at home this season. Luckily for us, he will be pitching at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

The Brewers are projected to put out 5 right-handed bats which Javier has cruised against. He has a 35% K rate against righties and a .228 on-base percentage. The Brewers are coming off getting fanned 8 times by Zach Eflin and a season-high 10 times by Jack Flaherty a week ago.

Cristian Javier, HOU, Under 2.5 walks (-150)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Is this the first time betting on a walk prop? Well, here you go.

Javier has dropped his walk rate down to 5.8% this season. Last year, he was erratic at times with an 8.9 BB%. This one is primed to be sweaty with Javier’s 4.1 pitches per plate appearance, but he has stayed under this line in all 9 starts this season.

The Brewers rank in the top 10 in BB% against right-handed pitching this season but have fallen to the bottom 10 in May. Framber Valdez threw a complete game last night and gave the Astros’ bullpen some rest. All in all, expect a dominant outing from Javier in all facets.
