Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write up my plays for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My MLB record from last season and this season is listed in my bio. In the regular season, I recorded 259 wins and 167 losses for a gain of +37 units. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Game 4 of the World Series!

Chas McCormick (Astros) Over 0.5 hits (-145)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Chas McCormick, a native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, grew up a diehard Phillies fan. He’s living his dream at the moment, facing off against his hometown squad as a member of the Houston Astros. McCormick brings not only a great defensive presence in center field for the Astros but a reliable bat at the bottom of the order. McCormick has registered a hit in 9 of 11 games this postseason, including one in all 4 games of the World Series. He’ll be opposed by former phenom Noah Syndergaard, who he is 1 for 2 against, and both at-bats came earlier this season when Syndergaard was a member of the Los Angeles Angels.

There’s no telling how long Syndergaard will last tonight but he’ll indeed have a short leash if the top of the order rattles him. McCormick will certainly get 1 at-bat against the 30-year-old and then it’ll be in the hands of the bullpen. We can expect at least 4 at-bats for McCormick as the Astros will be batting in the 9th no matter what. He’s recorded a hit in 57% of road games this season and 8 of his last 9 dating back to the regular season.

Bryce Harper (Phillies) Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (+105)

Line available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Are we surprised by this? Harper burned us last night, as he went 0-2 with a walk. The Phillies couldn’t put anything together against Christian Javier and the rest of the Astros as they threw a combined no-hitter. But there’s no other person that shines with their back against the wall like Harper. He’s come through in every clutch moment for the Phillies and is the primary reason they’re in the position they are now.

Harper reeled off a single against Justin Verlander in Game 1 and started the hit parade for the Phillies in the 4th inning. He finished Game 1 with 2 hits and a run scored. It’s a known commodity that Verlander has struggled in the World Series. He has an ERA of over 6 and is 0-6. Harper has crushed this line all postseason and will look to put the Phillies a win away from the World Series in the biggest game of his life to date.

Phillies/Astros first 5 innings Over 3.5 (-130)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

This First 5 over has cashed in all 4 games to start the series. The Astros put up a 5 spot in the top of the 5th inning last night against Aaron Nola and Jose Alvarado. The top of the order finally came through as Jose Altuve, Jeremy Pena, Yordan Alvarez and Alex Bregman all had a hit. Noah Syndergaard will have his hands full with arguably the most lethal lineup in the game and may not make it through the order twice.

The Phillies, behind one of the most electrical atmospheres the baseball world has seen in recent memory, have their backs against the wall and will look to get to future AL CY Young award winner Justin Verlander early. They have countless power bats that can change the game with 1 swing and speed in the middle of the order. Each team should have no problem scoring 2 runs each through the first 5 tonight.
