Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The final matchup of the NBA conference semifinals tips off today as the Los Angeles Lakers travel to take on the Golden State Warriors. It will see arguably two of the best players over the last decade collide as LeBron James faces off against Stephen Curry. That game will follow Game 2 between the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks. Tonight’s visitors have already secured homecourt advantage throughout the rest of the series. They will now be battling for the opportunity to take a 2-0 lead back to Miami.

You can check out our NBA picks on the side and total for each of today’s games, but for now, let’s dive into my favorite NBA player prop bets for tonight.

Anthony Davis over 4.5 steals and blocks (+130)

Anthony Davis has been a defensive force for the Los Angeles Lakers in this postseason, averaging an incredible 4.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. He has managed a combined 5 or more in 4 of the 5 games he has appeared in. The Warriors were 9th among playoff teams in opponent blocks per game despite the Sacramento Kings not having an established shot-blocker. They also finished the regular season 25th in opponent steals per game. Davis should be well positioned to take full advantage. With Kevon Looney not being a threat away from the perimeter, Davis should roam the paint and be able to rack up rejections.

Gabe Vincent over 2.5 made threes (-113)

Gabe Vincent has been one of the more consistent perimeter threats for the Miami Heat this postseason. He has made 3 or more shots from deep in 4 of the 6 contests he has appeared in. That includes 5 triples in Game 1 against the New York Knicks. Vincent has done that on 42.4% shooting and I’m looking for him to continue that tonight. With Jimmy Butler being questionable to play, Vincent could have a bigger role on offense. In the playoffs, more than half of his attempts per game have been 3-pointers and he has attempted 12 in back-to-back contests. A similar number of attempts tonight would give this line a great chance of hitting.

Kyle Lowry over 4.5 assists (+108)

In Game 1 against the Knicks, Kyle Lowry saw his biggest role of the season so far. He was able to set postseason highs in every major statistical category apart from steals. That should help ensure he sees close to or more than 30 minutes of action tonight. His assist numbers are what he is most likely to maintain. With Butler potentially unavailable, Lowry will have to play a bigger role directing the offense. Look for his pick-and-rolls with Bam Adebayo to be a major part of the Heat gameplan. Lowry was 2nd among Heat players in assists per game in this regular season, averaging 5.1 per game, just behind Butler. Look for a similar output from him tonight.

LeBron James over 9.5 rebounds (-111)

This postseason the Warriors are 14th among playoff teams in opponent rebounds per game. Considering that LeBron James is averaging 11.2 rebounds per game, he should be one of the players to benefit. Look for him to pick up Draymond Green defensively. The Warriors forward’s lack of shooting ability should allow James to play off him, leaving LBJ free to chase down rebounds. Green is also not going to run around screens, which should help the Lakers superstar to conserve some energy on the defensive end. It should also allow him to help Davis to control the defensive glass. Only the Cleveland Cavaliers have given up more offensive rebounds per game in the playoffs than the Warriors and James could use that to improve his numbers.
