Thursday Night Football in Week 4 pits the Detroit Lions against the Green Bay Packers in an NFC North rivalry matchup. The Lions went into Lambeau Field and knocked the Packers out of playoff contention at the end of the 2022 regular season, so they know how to win in this hostile environment. With both teams at 2-1 and also in the same division, this is one of the more intriguing matchups on the entire Week 4 schedule.

Who will be finding the endzone on Thursday night? Let’s take a look at the best touchdown scorer bets to be made, and also make sure to check out our full Lions vs Packers picks.

Sam LaPorta, TE, Detroit Lions (+250 at FanDuel)

The Lions used a second-round pick on LaPorta earlier this year and early returns are making it look like a great decision. A former Iowa standout, LaPorta already has 18 receptions on 22 targets for 186 yards and a touchdown. His 1 TD came last weekend, when he torched the Atlanta Falcons with 8 catches on 11 targets for 84 yards. The Packers gave up a touchdown to New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham last Sunday; I wouldn’t be surprised if they get victimized by another TE this week.

Romeo Doubs, WR, Detroit Lions (+230 at FanDuel)

At +230, Doubs is another player who has started the season strong and has outstanding value to find the endzone on Thursday. The 2022 fourth-round pick out of Nevada heads into this contest with 11 catches on 20 targets for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns through 3 games. Last week against New Orleans, Doubs hauled in 5 of 12 targets for 73 yards and a score. The 6’2’’, 204-pounder has quickly become QB Jordan Love’s favorite red-zone weapon and I expect the connection to continue in Week 4. Detroit is currently #5 in the NFL in run defense but in the bottom half of the league against the pass. Don’t be surprised if Doubs takes advantage.
