We’re back to just a small 2-game slate after also having a mild Wednesday night. Another commonality between those nights is the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks playing road games. They’ve been incredible teams to pick on in terms of player props. It’s been difficult to trust the Calgary Flames, so we’re going to target a Florida Panthers skater that has come through for us time and time again. Matthew Tkachuk over 1.5 points (+100)
Before we dive into our official play, this is an excellent spot to target Tkachuk’s shots on goal prop. However, that comes with a far more expensive price, so we’ll stick with the much better value. We also considered his goalscoring prop, but we’re sticking with what’s worked for us. Tkachuk has already cashed this prop for us multiple times this season. In fact, he did so recently just 6 days ago against the Pittsburgh Penguins. There’s no reason not to expect him to do the same against an awful Chicago Blackhawks team.
Not much has gone right for Chicago, and they’re in full rebuild mode after trading away Max Domi and Patrick Kane. Even if they had their full complement of weapons, Tkachuk has simply been too great this season. His 81 points are tied for the 7th-most in the NHL, and he’s been even stronger at home. The left winger has recorded multiple points 14 times in South Beach and is all too familiar with the ‘Hawks. Before leaving the Calgary Flames for the Panthers, Tkachuk recorded multiple points in back-to-back games against Chicago. The Blackhawks have only gotten worse since then, so we expect more of the same tonight.
