We needed a bit of luck for another 2-0 night, but it put a personal run at 8-0 and our team’s run at 13-2. Wednesday features 5 games on the ice and admittedly not the most ideal matchups for many skaters to excel. Therefore, there’s just 1 play tonight and it’s not out of fear to ruin the perfect stretch. In the first 3 games, 5 of the 6 teams are top-10 goaltending teams. The only one that isn’t is the Ottawa Senators, but the New York Islanders’offense has been awful. In the final game the Canucks are on a back-to-back and the Kraken may be without their most consistent skater (Andre Burakovsky). Therefore, we’re not forcing anything and just going with the tried and true on the Edmonton Oilers with the less-than-ideal night.

Leon Draisaitl Over 1.5 points (-125)

It’s no surprise that we’re headed to Edmonton for this play. Not only have the Oilers scored the 3rd-most goals per game this season, but they are also facing the terrible goaltending of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus is allowing the 3rd-most goals per game both overall and on the road. Therefore it’s no surprise it’s difficult to find a great price on Edmonton skaters, but they should nearly all be worth it. Admittedly, the plan was to grab Evander Kane to get his first point since returning from injury, but now he’s out again for personal reasons.

As you can tell, tonight hasn’t provided us with the best setup, but that’s no concern for Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. McDavid’s multi-point prop is up to -200 on some books; the guy is absolutely ridiculous. However, so is Draisaitl — and his price is much friendlier. He gets overshadowed by McDavid at times, but his 73 points through 46 games are the 2nd-most in the NHL, and he has even missed 2 games. Simply skating alongside McDavid of course provides even more opportunities for points, as well. Draisaitl “only” had a goal in the Oilers last game, so we’ll back him to come back with an even bigger night at the expense of Columbus’ terrible goaltending.
