Diane Knox Balas loves golf (she’s Scottish, so of course she does) but let’s just say she’s much better at analyzing golf than playing! The same cannot be said for her brother, Russell Knox, who’s a 2-time winner on the PGA Tour and fueled Diane’s initial passion for the sport. A seasoned TV and radio host, Diane has given out 8 outright winners since joining the Pickswise team in April 2022. Her general rule is she has to have three stand-out reasons for each pick and spends her time studying stats, playing form and little nuggets of information from golfers’ lives on Tour. Diane lives in Jacksonville, Florida with her husband Garrett, son Greyson and two English Bulldogs Bowser & Barkley. You can follow her antics on Twitter @KnoxyDiane and Instagram @dianeknoxbalas. It’s time for the second major of 2023. The first round did not disappoint, as Jon Rahm donned the green jacket for the first time in his career by sprinting past Brooks Koepka on Sunday at the Masters.

Now the PGA Championship is upon his, taking place this week at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York. Justin Thomas is the defending champion, having won the tournament for the second time last year at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was last held at Oak Hill in 2013, when Jason Dufner prevailed.

Here are my best player prop bets for the PGA Championship, but be sure to also check out our PGA Championship outright winner best bets to get in on the action this week!

You can bet on the PGA Championship at FanDuel, America’s #1 sportsbook, which has a great new customer offer where you can earn yourself a No Sweat First Bet up to $1,000. Click here to take advantage of this awesome offer.

Tommy Fleetwood Top Finisher from Great Britain & Ireland (+750 at Bet365)

I have faith in Fleetwood to do it for the Brits this week. Coming off a T5 at the Wells Fargo a few weeks ago and a T15 at the RBC Heritage the week prior, Fleetwood’s game has really been rounding into form. He has gained almost 2.5 strokes on the field off the tee in his last 3 starts, and he has been putting well.

Phil Mickelson Top Former Winner (+2000 at Bet365)

I’m also looking at Koepka in my outright picks and he is a 2-time PGA champion, but at these odds sprinkling some on Mickelson as the top former winner has some appeal to it. For one, he beat Koepka to win the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah; also let’s not forget that he just finished runner-up at the Masters last month. Pretty outrageous, really. Mickelson has been stirring up all sorts of drama on Twitter over the last week and I’m sure he’ll be looking to back up all his talk with some great play.

Jason Day Top-10 Finish (+300 at BetRivers)

Day’s win last week at the Byron Nelson had been coming for months after some seriously great performances and 5 additional top 10s in 2023. Day won the PGA in 2015, plus he finished runner-up the following year and fourth in 2020. In addition to all of that, he finished in the top 10 when the PGA was played here in 2013. His putter is hot right now and his off-the-tee stats have been consistent all season, so expect him to contend again this week.

DraftKings Sportsbook is currently giving new customers $150 in bonus bets if they bet $5 on any market when they sign up. That’s all there is to it! Grab this amazing sign-up offer by clicking this link.
