Best player prop for Friday's NBA slate: Brown does dishes
It’s early in the morning people. There aren’t a ton of NBA player props available right now but this is the exact time to be looking. The early bird gets the worm and that’s true in this space as well. There’s gold in the NBA player prop section in the mornings. You just have to find it. I found 1 for tonight in my first time through the numbers. It may be a little juicy but sometimes the juice is worth the squeeze.
Also, don’t forget to check what our NBA analysts have backed with side and total picks for tonight’s games. Also, why not follow me on Twitter? Seems like a smart thing to do.
Jaylen Brown over 2.5 assists (-140)
Line available at publishing at BetMGM
Let’s go to BetMGM on this NBA player prop since they have the best price. At -140, this is way too expensive for me normally but the number is so good I think it’s worth it. Over at DraftKings we can get 2.5 but at -150 and at FanDuel it’s 2.5 for -158. Both are outrageously expensive but if you have to do it, don’t tell anyone until it hits.
Jayson Tatum is widely regarded as the Boston Celtics’ best player but if you watch the games, Jaylen Brown might be the most important. Those 2 players are going to dominate the shots for Boston this year but Brown seems to be the one you want to back in peripheral stats. He is so much more than just a scorer and it’s obvious when watching him play.
I almost never go -140 on an assist prop but Brown only needs 3 to get home tonight. With Kemba Walker out of town, we don’t quite know everyone’s role yet and we can take advantage. In the first game, Brown had 13 potential assists which is ridiculous for him. He averaged 5.7 per game last season. I know this is a 1-game sample size but his role seems to have expanded. He should get at least 3 assists tonight.
This is my favorite NBA player prop of the night.
