J.T. Miller over 0.5 points (-135)

J.T. Miller is Vancouver’s leading scorer. The 28-year-old center has registered 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 22 games so far this season, but he has not found the score sheet in 4 straight games. That means he is due. Miller mans the Canucks’ second line and their top power play unit, and he is seeing over 21 minutes of ice time per game. He is around the puck a lot, and it is only a matter of time until he finds his way back to the score sheet. There seems to be a good chance that happens tonight in Vancouver’s matchup against the Montreal Canadiens.

The Canadiens are having a rough season thus far, and they are giving up a ton of goals. In fact, the 83 goals they have given up are the most in all of hockey. In addition, they are allowing 3.61 goals per game, which is the second-most in the league. Montreal has gotten shaky goaltending all season long, as Jake Allen and Sam Montembeault have both been pedestrian. Allen is posting a .902 save percentage and Montembeault posting an .897 save percentage. The Habs have allowed an average of 4.13 goals per game over their last 8 contests, so the Canucks should be able to have a strong offensive night. Look for Miller to lead the charge and get back on track in tonight’s matchup.
