The midweek MACtion keeps rolling on Tuesday with a pair of games to kick off rivalry week. We’ve got Bowling Green vs Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan taking on Buffalo, and to celebrate our last week of MACtion, I’ve got a 2-leg parlay at +320 odds for tonight’s games. Also, be sure to check out our NCAAF predictions for all the big games this week.

Bowling Green -2.5 alternate spread (+115)

Eastern Michigan vs Buffalo Under 35.5 (-105)

NCAAF Same Game Parlay odds: +320

Bowling Green Falcons -2.5 over Western Michigan Broncos (+115)

Despite a poor outlook heading into the season, Bowling Green is going bowling after blowing out Kent State 2 weeks ago for their 6th victory. The Falcons still can improve its bowl eligibility slightly, and a win at Western Michigan will get Bowling Green to 7 wins, its most since recording 10 victories under Dino Babers back in 2015. Scot Loeffler has done a great job as the current head coach, and it shows as the team is about to go to back-to-back bowls for the first time since a 4-year bowl run under Dave Clawson and Babers from 2012-15.

On the other side, the same postseason outlook can’t be said for Western Michigan, as this will be their final game of the season. Western Michigan has won just twice in the past 6 games, but those victories are against a pair of teams with losing records in Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan. The forecast was calling for rain in this one, but that should pull out of the area by the time of kickoff, giving the teams a dry track. This is a clear advantage for the Falcons, who have the more consistent offense and have been rolling on the defensive side of the ball as well. Look for Bowling Green to get a nice win to close out the season.

Eastern Michigan Eagles vs Buffalo Bulls Under 35.5 (-105)

The 2023 season has been a lost campaign for the Buffalo Bulls. This team has lost 4 of their last 5 games, including 3 straight heading into this contest against Eastern Michigan. They also failed to score more than 14 points in each of those losses. Conversely, Eastern Michigan comes into this game following its 5th win of the season, giving the Eagles a chance to earn postseason eligibility with a win. However, this is still an offense that is averaging just 13 points per game away from home – which is in the bottom 10 nationally.

The simple point is that neither of these offenses can be trusted. Since Week 7, the Bulls and the Eagles are outside the top 105 in PPA and success rate. They also are 122nd and 124th, respectively, in total scoring opportunities over their last 6 games with top 30 marks in punts attempted per game this season. In fact, these offensive inefficiencies are likely to be magnified in what are projected to be wet and windy conditions throughout the game in Buffalo. The total is fairly low, but I think it is warranted in this instance. Give me the under in the final Tuesday regular season MAC matchup.
