We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Thursday night including action from the NFL, NBA, NHL, and college football.

One pick is taken from each sport and a winning ticket gives us a nice payout with odds at +1204 with DraftKings; that’s more than 12/1! Let’s break down each of these plays.

NHL: Carolina Hurricanes ML (-120) vs Montreal Canadiens, 7:08pm ET

The start of this season has been a disappointment for Montreal. The Canadiens are 0-4-0 and have lost some games to some teams that are not expected to be contenders, and they are coming off a bad loss against the Sharks on Tuesday (5-0 at home). Carolina has been quite the opposite. The Hurricanes have a home win against the Islanders and a road win over the Predators so far.

Carolina is one of the best teams that Montreal has faced so far, and if the Canadiens cannot find a way to score goals (they have only scored 3 in 4 games) this game could get ugly, too. Carolina is known for being a tough team to play against, and the ‘Canes can score goals with almost any team (they have averaged 4.5 goals per game so far). Look for Carolina to win this game and for Montreal’s bad start to the season to continue.

College Football: Tulane Green Wave vs SMU Mustangs -14 (-105), 7:30pm ET

SMU has an incredible offense this season. They average 40.7 points per game and 511 yards per game. On top of that Tulane’s defense is terrible. They allow on average 40.2 points per game and 474.2 yards per game. This should be a blow out by the Mustangs. Their offense just has more talent than Tulane and the Green Wave’s defense is not good enough to stop them. SMU is 4-2 against the spread in their 6 games this year. Take the Mustangs to cover.

NBA: Dallas Mavericks vs Atlanta Hawks -2.5 (-110), 7:40pm ET

This year the Hawks have the right coach to start the season and I think they are actually being underrated in the futures market. I think they are going to be a very good regular-season team especially because they have so much depth and several players who have yet to reach their ceilings. Trae Young should be among the scoring leaders again this season and in this game. I also really like that they have multiple quality defenders they can use on Luka Doncic.

On opening night, with an arena full of fans, they should easily be able to take this game by more than a possession. Both Doncic and Young should play well in the opener, but Young’s supporting cast likely gets them their first win of the season. Take Atlanta.

NFL: Denver Broncos vs Cleveland Browns – Under 41.5 points (-110), 8:20pm ET

The Browns’ offense is looking like a disaster right now and the fact they are playing on a short week should only cause more problems for Kevin Stefanski’s team. Given they are likely to struggle to get any sort of ground game going, they will be relying on Case Keenum to move the chains, and I can’t see that working out too well against Denver’s defense.

As for the Broncos’ offense, they’ve averaged 16.6 points in their last three games and although the Browns have allowed a lot of TDs through the air, they have been superb against the run with just 3.6 yards per carry allowed. Both teams have looked hot on defense and given Denver has struggled to put points on the board this season, the under looks the way to go.
