KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

SSG Landers vs KT Wiz -1.5 (-105)

The KT Wiz will start Bae Je-Seong in this game, a guy who has been having an excellent season so far. He is 8-5 on the year and has an ERA of 3.48. Over his last 3 starts, he has allowed just 5 earned runs over 16.1 innings, so this looks to be a good spot for him.

The Landers will counter with Kim Keon-Woo. He has not enjoyed the same success as his opponent, having not recorded a decision this season and posting an ERA of 13.50. It is worth noting that he has only made 1 start this entire season, but allowed 3 earned runs over just 2.0 innings. Keon-Woo does not look like a pitcher we can trust in this spot. Je-Seong has just been more effective and more consistent, so backing the KT Wiz on the run line looks to be a solid play.

NC Dinos vs Kia Tigers – Under 9.5 runs (-110)

Even though Lee Jae-Hak has been below average over the course of the season, he has not actually faced the Tigers. This could give him an advantage since the Kia lineup has not seen his stuff. Yoon Joong-Hyun on the other hand, has faced the Dinos very sparingly, and has not made a start against them. In 2 relief appearances against NC, Jae-Hak has allowed 1 earned run over 2.1 innings. He also has made just 4 starts in general this season, allowing 4 runs over 13.2 innings.

The Kia offense is averaging 3.6 runs over their last 3 games, while NC are averaging 1.6 runs over the same span. Because both pitchers are somewhat unknown to their opponents, backing the under will be the play here.

Samsung Lions -1.5 (-115) vs Hanwha Eagles

The Lions will start Baek Jung-Hyun on Saturday, and he is having a great season. He has a record of 11-4 with an ERA of 2.54. At this point the Eagles only look to be a spoiler. They will start Kim Ki-Joong, who has not fared as well this year. He is 2-4 on the year and has an ERA of 4.64.

The Eagles really just do not offer much in this spot. The Lions have a clear advantage on the mound and have much more to play for. For that reason, a Lions win on the run line looks to be a solid play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +596.
