KBO picks and predictions

Friday’s 5-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

LG Twins vs NC Dinos – Under 10.5 Runs (-115)

Despite the fact that Son Ju-Young has an ERA of 9.00 against the Dinos, he only has 1 appearance against them. He has allowed 2 runs over 2.0 innings, so his performance is not quite as bad as his ERA would indicate. Wes Parsons has only 1 start against the Twins, in which he pitched 6.0 innings of shutout baseball. Thursday morning showed us the struggles of the Twins’ offense, too, as they only managed to score 1 run–and that was in the top of the 9th inning. So unless the Dinos carry this total by themselves, we are most likely looking at an under for this series opener.

SSG Landers vs Samsung Lions -1.5 (-125)

The Lions will start Won Tae-In to open this series and he is 10-4 on the season with an ERA of 2.54. The SSG Landers will start Lee Tae-Yang; he is certainly not having a great season. Tae-Yang has a record of 4-3, but his ERA is 4.58. The Lions’ offense is rolling right now and against a shaky pitcher, backing them on the run line looks to be a solid play.

Hanwha Eagles vs Doosan Bears -1.5 (-135)

Doosan is 7th at the moment and trail the final playoff spot by 4 games. The Bears will start Ariel Miranda and it is safe to say that he has been outstanding. Miranda has a record of 8-4 and an ERA of 2.92. On top of that, he is 2-0 against the Eagles with an ERA of 1.93.

The Hanwha Eagles continue to take themselves out of the picture, and this series is likely going to be the same. The Eagles will start Jang Si-Hwan, who has been awful this season. His 0-8 record an ERA of 6.32 more than proves this. Against the Bears, Si-Hwan is even worse–posting a record of 0-2 with an ERA of 12.79.

The Bears may have played to a tie on Thursday, but they are more than capable of blowing this Eagles team out. They have a clear pitching advantage, so backing the Bears on the run line looks to be the easy play here.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay, which pays out at +485.
