KBO picks and predictions

Friday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz/Hanwha Eagles Over 10.5 Runs (-118)

KT Wiz will look to keep their winning streak rolling when they send Min-soo Kim to the mound on Friday morning. Kim is 2-4 on the season with a 5.88 ERA. His last five starts in particular have been lacking, allowing 18 runs over his last 27.0. That translates to an ERA of 6.00.

Hanwha is set to start Chad Bell and he has been even worse this season, going 0-7 with an ERA of 7.01. He has a 6.29 ERA over his last five starts, so he continues to be inconsistent. Bell has two starts against the KT Wiz, going 0-2 with an ERA of 11.25. Over these two starts, he allowed 10 runs in 8.0 innings.

LG Twins/Kiwoom Heroes Under 9.5 Runs (-106)

Two decent looking pitchers here as the LG Twins plan to start Tyler Wilson and the Kiwoom Heroes plan to start Seung-ho Lee. Wilson is 7-6 on the year with a 4.03 ERA. His last five starts have been much better, going 3-1 with an ERA of 3.21. Seung-ho Lee is 4-4 with a 4.84 ERA. Also having improved over his last five starts, Lee is 2-0 with a 3.81 ERA.

The under is 4-1 in Kiwoom’s last five games and 3-1 in their last four head to head games with the Twins. Both teams are allowing between 3.6-4.2 runs per game over their last five, so I will look for a low scoring game here.

NC Dinos Money Line (+102)

This play will be a fade of the pitcher that the Kia Tigers plan to start. That being Ki-young Im, who is 6-6 with a 4.71 ERA. More so the fact that he has allowed 21 runs over his last 22.0 innings pitched. That being an ERA of 8.59 during that stretch. There is also the fact that Im is 0-1 with a 23.14 ERA against the NC Dinos. He allowed six runs over 2.1 innings in his one start against them.

The Dinos will start Myung-gi Song, who is 1-0 with a 4.05. He has yet to make a start this season, with all his work coming out of the bullpen. He has been decent against the Kia Tigers, going 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA over just 2.2 innings of work. Even knowing Song has not made a start, I still cannot back Ki-Young Im and the Tigers.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +625.
