KBO picks and predictions

Friday’s five-game slate will feature some of the top pitchers in the entire KBO. That includes Drew Rucinski for the NC Dinos and former Miami Marlins starter, Dan Straily. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Doosan Bears/NC Dinos Under 10.5 Runs (-104)

The Dinos game on Thursday was postponed, so nothing has changed in terms of them having lost 3 games in a row. They will put Drew Rucinski on the mound, who has a record of 10-1 this season with a 1.99 ERA. He has been even more dominant over his past 6 starts, going a perfect 6-0, allowing 6 runs in 40 innings, which translates to an ERA of 1.35. Plus the Dinos are not exactly breaking the scoreboard, averaging just 4.8 runs per game over their last 5 games. The Bears are also struggling to score and their starter, Won-joon Choi, has an ERA of 0.60 over his last 3 starts. With Rucinski’s presence on the mound, I am shocked that we have such a high total and therefore would take the under here.

Kia Tigers/Lotte Giants Under 7.5 Runs (+102)

This is a risky play because the total is already so low, yet because of the pitching match-up, that is way you need to look. Dan Straily will go for the Giants, posting a record of 5-2 this season with a 1.88 ERA. He has won 4 starts in a row, a stretch where he has allowed just 1 run over 28 innings. That translates to an ERA of 0.32, so clearly he has found his grove. He will be opposed by Aaron Brooks, who is 5-3 on the season with a 2.54 ERA. He has had massive success against the Giants already, posting a record of 1-0 with an ERA of 1.32. Kia’s defense in general is allowing 2.8 runs per game over their last 5, so I think we get a pitchers duel here and would take the under.

KT Wiz Moneyline (-172)

The KT Wiz enter this game in high spirits after winning 4 of their last 5. They sit in 6th place, but are steadily creeping up on that all-important final playoff spot in 5th. Starting this game for them will be William Cuevas, who is 5-2 on the season with a 3.97 ERA. He has certainly been better as of late, going 2-0 over his last 3 starts an allowing 3 runs over 20 innings. That gives him an ERA of 1.35 over those starts, so I expect him to be sharp here. Plus, the Wyverns have lost 3 games in a row, so I do not trust them at all to stay competitive here. It is a steep price, but I believe the KT Wiz will get the job done rather comfortably.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +526.
