KBO picks and predictions

Friday’s four-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Doosan Bears/Kiwoom Heroes Under 9.5 Runs (-132)

Starting this game for the Bears will be Won-joon Choi. He is 10-1 on the season and has an ERA of 3.80. He has allowed 11 runs over his last 25.1 innings and has looked decent to say the least. Not counting his relief appearance against the Heroes, but in his two starts against them, he allowed just three runs over a span of 10.2 innings.

The Heroes will be countering with Jake Brigham, who is 9-5 with an ERA of 3.57 this season. He has looked better recently, allowing just eight runs over his last 28.0 innings. Brigham actually only has one start against the Bears all season and it just so happens that they were his last opponent. He pitched 6.0 innings against them an allowed just one run.

Lotte Giants -2.5 Run Line (-106)

We will be looking to back a blowout win by the Giants as they are starting Dan Straily. He is 14-4 on the season and has an ERA of 2.58. His last six starts have seen him allow a combined eight runs over 40.0 innings. His record against the Wyverns is 2-0 and he has an ERA of 1.29 against them as well. The Wyverns will start Geon-wook Lee. His overall record is 6-11 and he has an ERA of 5.67. Pretty much the only thing Lee has working for him is his ability to pitch against the Giants. Against the Giants, he is 1-0 with an ERA of 0.84. However, his last six starts overall have resulted in a record of 0-5 with an ERA of 8.54.

LG Twins -2.5 Run Line (-120)

Casey Kelly will get the ball for the LG Twins and we will look for him to completely shut down this Kia team. Kelly is 14-7 on the year and has an ERA of 3.23. Against the Tigers, he is 3-0 with an ERA of 0.95. Over his last eight starts, Kelly has allowed just nine runs over 53.0 innings, so it is safe to say he is pitching at his best right now.

The Tigers will be countering with Ki-hoon Kim. He is 0-3 on the season with an ERA of 5.63. His lone start against the Twins saw him allow four runs over just 3.0 innings. As a starter, Kim has allowed 17 runs over a span of 23.1 innings. That gives him an ERA of 6.56.

Because of the difference in pitching, I will be backing the Twins to win this game in a blowout.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +526.
