KBO picks and predictions
Saturday’s 5-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
LG Twins ML (-170) vs NC Dinos
On Saturday morning, the LG Twins will hope to regain some momentum when they start Casey Kelly. He is 7-4 on the season and has an ERA of 3.04. He has pitched well against the Dinos too, posting an ERA of 1.64.
With the win on Friday, the NC Dinos have rocketed up to 4th place. It is in the best interest for teams in the KBO to finish as high as they can in the regular season because they higher you finish, the less you have to play in the playoffs. The Dinos will start Lee Jae-Hak, who is 2-2 on the season with an ERA of 6.04.
Even though the Dinos got the better of the Twins on Friday, this looks like a good spot for the Twins. They have the clear pitching advantage, so a Twins win will be the play here.
Kiwoom Heroes ML (-160) vs Kia Tigers
The Heroes are currently in 6th place by only winning percentage. This game looks to be an excellent bounce back spot as the Heroes will be starting Eric Jokisch. He has an overall record of 11-5 this season with an ERA of 2.45. His track record against the Tigers speaks for itself as well, posting a record of 1-0 with an ERA of 1.80
The Tigers may have won on Friday morning, but they are one of the worst teams in the league. This is shown by their 9th place standing. The Tigers will plan to start Im Gi-Yeong on Saturday morning, who is 2-4 on the year with an ERA of 4.71.
The Heroes are the clear favorites, especially with one of their aces on the mound. The clear pitching advantage is the reason why backing the Heroes will be the play on Saturday.
Hanwha Eagles vs Doosan Bears -1.5 (-105)
Looking to take advantage of the last place Eagles, the Bears will start Walker Lockett. He has an overall record of 7-5 this season with an ERA of 2.75. He has also been fantastic against the Eagles, posting a record of 1-0 with an ERA of 1.50.
Hanwha come into this game having lost 3 straight and will be trying to gain any kind of momentum on Saturday. They will start Ryan Carpenter, who despite a 4-8 record, has an ERA of 3.31. He is one of the better pitchers for Hanwha this season, but a win is still going to be hard to come by.
The Bears’ offense was on fire on Friday and there is little reason to believe that will stop here. They clearly have the better pitcher and better offense, so backing the Bears to win big will be the play here.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay, which pays out at +403.
