KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kiwoom Heroes Money Line (-106)

We will be picking on the Kia Tigers starter in this game as he certainly has not been great this season. Hyun-jong Yang is 8-6 on the season, but with an ERA of 5.57, it does not give me much confidence he will have a good outing. Especially against the Heroes where he is 0-2 with a 8.68 ERA. In his three starts against Kiwoom, he has allowed 10 runs over just 14.1 innings.

Tae-hoon Kim will make his first start of the season for the Heroes, after coming out of the bullpen for the entirety of this year. He has a record of 5-0 with an ERA of 3.89. In 0.2 of an inning against Kia, Kim did not allow a run.

Whether or not Kim can handle a full start is the main concern, but he still looks like the better pitcher, so I will lean Kiwoom to get the win.

Hanwha Eagles/LG Twins Over 8.5 Runs (-128)

Two struggling pitchers take the mound in this game, which is why we will be looking at the over. Warwick Saupold will get the start for the Hanwha Eagles and Chan-heon Jung for the LG Twins. Saupold is 6-9 on the season with a 5.00 ERA. His last five starts have not been great, going 1-2 with a 6.41 ERA. He also has been dreadful against the LG Twins, going 0-3 against them with a 7.02 ERA.

Chan-heon Jung has been better for the Twins, posting a record of 5-2 with an ERA of 3.67. His last five starts might suggest he is struggling though, going 2-1 with an ERA of 5.56. He has been halfway decent against the Eagles, posting a 2-0 record with an ERA of 3.55. Still, I believe this total is set too low and would take the over to be the play.

KT Wiz Money Line (-126)

Starting this game for the Dinos will be Sung-young Choi. He is 2-2 on the season with a 4.92 ERA. Choi has struggled to go deep into games, lasting 6.0 or more innings in just three starts. His last outing against the LG Twins was one of his shorter appearances, only going 4.2 innings, allowing six runs (three earned).

For KT Wiz, they will counter with Hyeong-jun So. He is 7-5 on the season with a 4.62 ERA. He has been much improved as of late, going 3-0 over his last five starts, allowing five runs over 29.2 innings and posting an ERA of 1.52 during this stretch.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +520.
