KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s 5-game slate features some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kiwoom Heroes ML (+115) vs LG Twins

The Kiwoom Heroes got a win on Friday morning against the Hanwha Eagles and will now shift their attention to the LG Twins on Saturday. The Heroes find them themselves in 4th place at the moment, sitting 2 games behind the Samsung Lions for 3rd place. Here they will face the 2nd-placed Twins and will start Eric Jokisch in this spot. Jokisch has been one of the better pitchers in the league this season as shown by his record of 12-5 and his ERA of 2.40. He also has fared decent against the Twins this season.

The Twins got a win against the Samsung Lions on Friday, but still find themselves 3.5 games behind the KT Wiz for 1st place in the KBO. The Twins have won 2 games in a row, and need to continue this momentum if they expect to catch the KT Wiz. The Twins will start Casey Kelly in this game, who is 7-5 with an ERA of 3.23. His track record against the Heroes is also solid.

With two very good pitchers on the mound, this looks like it will be a very good game. Jokisch has been just a little better than Kelly, so backing the Heroes to win will be the play.

Doosan Bears vs Lotte Giants ML (-140)

The Doosan Bears saw their winning streak come to an end on Friday morning as they lost to the NC Dinos by a score of 4-2. This game was actually cut short, ending in only 6 innings. The Bears still find themselves in 7th place, but now sit 3 games behind the NC Dinos for the final playoff spot. The Bears will start Lee Young-Ha on Saturday and to put it lightly, he has been awful. Young-Ha has a record of 1-5 on the season and has an ERA of 10.95. He has not just had just 1 or 2 bad starts either. In 9 of his 10 starts, Young-Ha has allowed at least 3 earned runs.

The Giants’ game on Friday was rained out, so they will look to look to start a new win streak on Saturday. Lotte’s season as a whole has been awful though as they sit in 8th and 6.5 games behind the final playoff spot. The Giants will start Enderson Franco in this spot, who has a record of 7-5 with an ERA of 4.41

Franco has not been the best this season, but fading Young-Ha is almost a must. He has been so bad that taking the Bears has to be the play here.

NC Dinos vs Hanwha Eagles – Under 9 (-115)

Even though Song Myung-Gi has struggled overall, his record against the Eagles could point to a low scoring contest. He is 2-0 against the Eagles and has an ERA of 0.75. This is over 2 starts, where he has allowed 1 run over 12.0 innings. Nick Kingham has also been pretty solid this season when facing the Dinos. He is 0-1 against them, but has an ERA of 1.50. This is only over 1 start, where he allowed 1 earned run over 6.0 innings. Because Myung-Gi has fared well against the Eagles and because the Eagles do not have a good offense to begin with, the under looks to be a solid play on Saturday.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay which pays out at +589.
