KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Doosan Bears Money Line (-120)

We will continue to roll with the Bears here and ride the hot hand of their starter, Won-joon Choi. He is a perfect 8-0 this season, having posted an ERA of 4.08. His last four starts have yielded a 4-0 record and his ERA over this stretch is 3.68.

The Twins will counter with Chan-gyu Kim, who is 8-5 with an ERA of 3.88. Over his last four starts, he is 2-2 with a 5.12 ERA. During this stretch, he has allowed 11 runs over 19.1 innings.

Doosan has also had the Twins number this season, winning eight of the 12 head to head meetings. The Bears are also scoring an average of 7.2 runs over their last five games, so I will back their offense to get the job done.

SK Wyverns/NC Dinos Over 10.5 Runs (+100)

Drew Rucinski will be the Dinos pitcher in this game. Rucinski is 12-3 on the season and has an ERA of 3.22. Though it is worth noting he has really struggled over his last five starts, posting a record of 2-2 with an ERA of 7.33. The SK Wyverns will start Jong-hoon Park in this game, who is 7-7 on the season with an ERA of 5.13. He also has had a rough stretch over his last five starts, posting an ERA of 5.47.

Both offenses have been lighting up the scoreboard with the Dinos averaging 6.6 runs and the Wyverns scoring 6.0 runs over their last five games. Defense has been an issue however, the Dinos allowing 5.8 runs and the Wyverns allowing 6.8 runs over the same stretch.

Samsung Lions Money Line (+104)

This is another game where to put it frankly, I think the wrong team is favored. The Lions will start David Buchanan in this game, who is 11-6 with an ERA of 3.75. He has been very good recently, going 3-0 over his last three starts with an ERA of 1.80. During this stretch, he has allowed four runs over 20.0 innings.

He will face Hyun-hee Han for the Kiwoom Heroes, who is 6-6 with a 5.91 ERA. Han has struggled over his last three starts, going 0-1 with a 6.32 ERA. During these three starts, he has allowed 11 runs over 15.2 innings.

Basically I am just going with the better and more consistent pitcher and will back the Samsung Lions at plus money.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +648.
