KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s six-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Doosan Bears/KT Wiz Under 10.5 Runs (-112)

We will be looking to back two solid pitchers here as the KT Wiz are set to start William Cuevas and the Doosan Bears will start Duk-joo Ham. Cuevas is 10-6 on the season with an ERA of 3.92. Though his last four starts have seen him allow nine runs over a span of 27.0 innings. He also was dominant in his lone start against the Bears, shutting them out over 8.0 innings.

Ham is 5-1 on the season and has an ERA of 3.74. He has not fared as well over his last four starts, having allowed 10 runs over 18.0 innings. The under is 6-0 in the last six head to head meetings and 8-5 overall in their season series. I will look for both pitchers to go deep into this game will back a low scoring game.

Kia Tigers/SK Wyverns Over 10.5 Runs (-126)

The Wyverns will start Soo-min Jung here, who will make his season debut. It is October and they are just now rolling out a new pitcher. Jung has a career ERA of 6.91 (all with the NC Dinos). This is his debut with the Wyverns as well, but clearly, he has struggled all throughout his career.

The Wyverns are allowing 5.6 runs per game over their last five and the Tigers are allowing the same amount over the same stretch. Also, note that the over is 4-1 in their last five head to head meetings with the Tigers. There has been an average of 14.2 runs scored in those games. Kim has an ERA of 6.75 against the Wyverns as well, allowing three runs over 4.0 innings in his lone start against them.

Lotte Giants/Samsung Lions Under 10.5 Runs (-104)

We are mainly looking to back David Buchanan and the Lions here as he looks to continue having a solid season. Buchanan has an ERA of 3.67 with a record of 14-6. He has been dominant against the Giants, posting an ERA of 2.25. He allowed two runs over 8.0 innings in his lone start. The Giants will start Seung-heon Lee, who is 2-1 with an ERA of 4.50. He has yet to face the Lions this season, so he may be able to have some success early in this game.

The under is 5-0 in the last five games for the Lions and Samsung is allowing just 2.6 runs per game over their last five and scoring 2.4 runs. As a result of the Lions struggling to score, I will back the under.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +565.
