KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s six-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz Money Line (-160)

This is a complete fade of the SK Wyverns pitcher, Geon-wook Lee. He is 6-10 with an ERA of 5.59. Against the KT Wiz, he is 0-1 with an ERA of 14.04. His last five starts have been just as bad, allowing 21 runs over 21.2 innings.

Hyeong-jun So will start this game for the KT Wiz and he is 11-6 with an ERA of 4.06. I like him here because he has been stellar against the Wyverns. Posting an ERA of 1.02 with a record of 3-0. His last five starts have been very good as well, allowing nine runs over 28.0 innings. The KT Wiz are barely hanging on to a playoff spot, so I will back them here.

LG Twins -1.5 Run Line (+102)

With only a few games left in the regular season, the Twins will be starting Nam Ho. He has yet to earn a decision, and has posted an ERA of 3.38. He does only have two starts this season however, allowing four runs over 9.0 innings.

The Kia Tigers are sitting in sixth place in the standings and have essentially been eliminated from the playoffs. They will be starting Ki-hoon Kim here and he is 0-2 with an ERA of 5.19. He has made a total of five starts this season, allowing 13 runs over 20.1 innings.

Given what is at stake, I am going to back the Twins here. I believe they have the better pitcher and they also have more to play for, so it would be a play on the Twins to win comfortably.

Doosan Bears Money Line (-112)

This game is basically a pick em’ and I am going to look to back the better pitcher. That being Won-joon Choi, who is 10-1 this season with an ERA of 3.89. His last five starts have not been the best, allowing 14 runs over his last 26.0 innings. The Heroes will start Seung-ho Lee, who is 5-6 with an ERA of 5.35. His last five start have been far worse, allowing 17 runs over his last 22.2 innings.

Doosan is looking to overtake the Heroes for 3rd place in the standings because they will want that first-round bye. The Bears’ starting pitcher is better, so I will take the Bears.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +521.
