  • Lotte Giants (+230) @ Doosan Bears (-300)
  • Samsung Lions (+114) @ Kia Tigers (-138)

KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s three-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

LG Twins Money Line (+158)

The Twins will be starting Chan-heon Jung here, who has been one of their most consistent pitchers this season. Jung is 7-3 with an ERA of 3.36. Over his last six starts, he has allowed just six runs in 30.1 innings. Also, note that he has yet to face the Dinos this season.

The NC Dinos will start Mike Wright, who is 11-9 with a 4.76 ERA. He is however, 1-4 in his last five starts, allowing 22 runs over 24.1 innings. During this stretch of games, he has an ERA of 8.14. Given Wright’s struggles, there is no way the Dinos should be this big of a favorite. The run line is a little steep on the LG Twins as well, so I am going to just straight up take the Twins here at a very nice-looking price.

Samsung Lions Money Line (+114)

We are looking to back Samsung as a small underdog here as they are taking on the Kia Tigers. The Lions will be starting Ben Lively, who is 5-7 with an ERA of 4.08. He has however, been pitching far better as of late, posting an ERA of 2.53 over his last five starts, allowing just nine runs over his last 32.0 innings.

The Tigers will start Hyun-jong Yang, who is 11-8 with an ERA of 4.33. To be fair, Yang has also been decent over his last five starts, allowing 11 runs over 32.0 innings. He has an ERA of 3.09 during this stretch. The main issue here is his track record against the Lions. Yang has allowed 16 runs to the Lions in just 13.1 innings. In his last two starts against them, he allowed seven runs in each game, so that is the reason we will be fading him here.

Doosan Bears -1.5 Runs Line (-136)

This play is on the Doosan starter. That being Raul Alcantara, who is 18-2 with a 2.68 ERA. He has been even better over his last five starts, allowing just five runs over 33.1 innings. That gives him an ERA of 1.35 during that stretch.

The Giants will start Se-woong Park, who is 8-9 with a 4.75 ERA. He has allowed 20 runs over his last 23.2 innings. That is good for an ERA of 7.61. Because there is such a difference in the starting pitching, I am going to back the Bears here to win this game without an trouble.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +858.
