KBO picks and predictions

Sunday’s 5-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kiwoom Heroes vs Doosan Bears (-140)

Doosan will start Walker Lockett. He has been outstanding this season, posting a record of 7-4 with an ERA of 2.38. On top of that, Lockett is 1-0 against Kiwoom and has an ERA of 1.50. On the other side, Kiwoom will start Eric Jokisch and he has been more than exceptional. He owns a record of 10-5 and has an ERA of 2.52. His record against Doosan is 1-0, but an ERA of 4.76 is a little concerning.

Kiwoom is holding steady in 4th place, while Doosan still sits under .500 and in 7th. The Bears have a slight advantage in starting pitching because Lockett has been lights out against Kiwoom, so backing them looks to be the best play here.

Lotte Giants vs LG Twins ML (-110)

The Giants will be starting Dan Straily in this series finale, and he is 6-7 with an ERA of 4.06. He is also 1-0 against the Twins and has not allowed a run. For the Twins, they will start Casey Kelly. He owns an ERA of 3.29 this season and has a record of 6-4. He has also been decent against the Giants, posting an ERA of 3.00, but has a record of 0-1.

The Twins now find themselves 1.5 games behind the KT Wiz for 1st and know they need to get back in the win column. They have lost 2 games in a row, which sets them up nicely for a bounce back win. Straily has struggled enough this season, so backing the Twins is worth a play.

Kia Tigers vs SSG Landers – Under 9.5 Runs (-120)

The total will be interesting because we have 1 pitcher who has struggled and 1 that has been fairly solid. As shown on Saturday morning, these offenses are not actually very good, so the pitching in general should have an advantage. Despite the inflated ERA for Gi-yeong, he pitched decently against the Landers in his previous appearance against them. Look for that here as well, as both pitchers should have enough success against average at best offenses. For that reason, we will be backing the under.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay, which pays out at +500.
