KBO picks and predictions

Sunday’s 5-game slate features some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz ML (-115) vs Samsung Lions

The KT Wiz lost on Saturday morning 6-5 to this Samsung team. They continue to hold their 1st-place spot in the KBO, but their lead has shrunk to 2.5 games. The KT Wiz will look to get back in the win column to finish up the week, starting Bae Je-Seong on Sunday morning. Je-Seong has been very serviceable this season as shown by his 6-5 record and his ERA of 3.68. His recent starts have been solid as well, allowing 5 runs over his last 17.0 innings.

Samsung on the other hand, will turn to Mike Montgomery. He has not had the same success, posting a record of just 0-1, but with an ERA of 6.00. Looking at his most recent starts, we see that he has allowed 12 runs in his last 15.0 innings. Given the fact that Montgomery is clearly struggling and showing signs of inconsistency, backing the KT Wiz to bounce back with their solid pitcher looks to be the best play.

Doosan Bears vs Lotte Giants – Under 11 (-105)

While both offenses exploded for 10 runs on Saturday, this looks like it could be a much lower scoring contest. Even with an ERA north of 5.00, Gwak Been has yet to face Lotte this season. While that fact will not completely fix his problems, it could set him up for success against a team that has not seen his arsenal. Park Se-Woong has 2 starts against Doosan and while he has not recorded a decision, he has an ERA of 2.77. He has allowed 4 runs over 13.0 innings to the Bears, suggesting he is likely going to have some success here as well. Based on the fact that Se-Woong has had success against Doosan and Gwak Been is an unknown to Lotte, backing the under will be the play on Sunday.

Kiwoom Heroes vs LG Twins – Under 9 (-105)

Very little offense was produced on Saturday and here we will be looking for the same result. The only concern is Choi Won-Tae’s ERA of 6.75 against the Twins. He has allowed 4 runs in both his starts against them, although his recent outings have proved to be very good. Son Ju-Young has not faced the Heroes, which could give him an advantage for the first part of this game. The Twins’ offense has not clicked this week, so backing the under will be our play for Sunday.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay which pays out at +612.
