KBO picks and predictions

Sunday’s five-game slate sees some of the league’s top pitchers take the mound, including former Miami Marlins starter Dan Straily. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Eagles vs. Twins Under 8.5 total runs (-118)

The Hanwha Eagles continue to showcase why they are ranked dead last across the board offensively with another low scoring affair against the LG Twins on Saturday. In the previous three games, the Eagles have combined to score a total of two runs. The Eagles have scored more than three runs only three times over the last ten games. Twins starting pitcher Casey Kelly will look for another shoutout victory as back in May, he allowed zero earned runs over six innings off work against Hanwha. With the Eagles on their recent scoring struggle and Kelly allowing 2.3 earned runs per game over his last three starts, another low-scoring match is on the horizon.

Samsung Lions Moneyline (-106)

A couple of days ago, I put the Samsung Lions back on my three-team parlay watch, and they have yet to disappoint me thus far. With winning three straight games and scoring a combine 28 runs over the stretch, the Lions are one of my favorite bets on Sunday to close the week off. Samsung will start David Buchanan in the series finale against the Lotte Giants in hopes of the 31-year-old going the distance once again. The former Phillies pitcher has been red-hot in his last three starts averaging 7.6 innings, 0.6 earned runs, and one walk per game. There is no reason to fade the Lions on Sunday, especially with Buchanan on the mound.

Doosan Bears Moneyline (-140)

Getting the start for the visiting Bears is Young-ha Lee. He is 3-5 on the season and has posted an ERA of 5.86. Looking at Lee’s last six starts amplifies his struggles. During this stretch, he allowed 27 runs over 32 innings. During the same time, he allowed at least seven hits in each game. The Tigers will counter with Min-woo Lee, who is 4-4 on the year with a 5.11 ERA. He has also struggled recently, picking up two losses in a row and allowing four runs in his last two starts. Min-woo Lee has pitched against Doosan this season, but it did not go so well as he allowed five runs in 6.2 innings. I believe the Bears offense can save Lee on Sunday and get him another victory against the Tigers.

For those of you looking for bigger returns, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +507.
