KBO picks and predictions

Sunday’s five-game slate sees some of the league’s top pitchers take the mound, including Chang-Mo Koo for the NC Dinos. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

NC Dinos Moneyline (-260)

Though normally I would not recommend this heavy of a favorite as a bet, it is a play I would consider including in a parlay. Not only have the Dinos been leading the KBO for almost the entirety of the season, but they also have one of the best pitchers in the league starting this game. That being Chang-mo Koo, who is a perfect 9-0 on the season, while also posting an outstanding ERA of 1.35. The Dinos have also won 8 of the 11 meetings between these two teams and had won 3 in a row before the loss on Saturday morning.

The KT Wiz have Min-soo Kim starting, who is 2-3 on the season, with an ERA of 6.33. KT Wiz are only .500 on the season and I do not see them hanging around. Chang-moo Koo has been too dominant, so I look for the NC Dinos to get the win.

LG Twins Moneyline (-102)

The Twins are fighting to stay in the playoff picture, occupying 5th place at the moment, but only by the slimmest of margins. They have in fact won 3 of their last 5 games, and a series win would help them tremendously. Starting this game for the visiting Twins is set to be Min-ho Lee. He has looked outstanding this season, posting a record of 2-2, but an ERA of 1.80. In six starts, he has allowed 2 runs or less five times an allowed 3 runs just once. Over his encounters against the Bears, he has allowed a total of 2 runs in 9 innings.

Getting the start for the Bears is expected to be Young-ha Lee. He has not exactly dominated the Twins, allowing 12 runs in a total of 16 innings. Seeing these struggles gives me no confidence to back Young-ha Lee and the Bears, so I would elect to take the Twins to close out this series with a win.

Samsung Lions Moneyline (-122)

The Lions lost their third straight game on Saturday, but I believe they enter this Sunday game with the pitching edge. On the mound for them is David Buchanan, who is 8-4 on the season and a pretty good ERA of 3.36. He is 1-0 against Kia this season, posting an ERA of 1.50. He started a game against them just under two weeks ago, going 7 shutout innings.

On the mound for the Kia Tigers will be Ki-young Im, who is 5-4 with a 3.57 ERA. Against the Lions, he is 1-1 with a 5.79 ERA. That being said, I will look for Samsung to get back on track with a win and continue to have success against Ki-young Im.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +409.
