KBO picks and predictions
Thursday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.
Hanwha Eagles ML (-115) vs Kia Tigers
The Eagles will start Kim Min-woo in this game and he is actually having quite a solid season. Min-woo has a record of 9-5 this season and has a respectable ERA of 3.89. He has struggled against the Tigers just a bit, posting an 0-1 record with an ERA of 4.76.
The Tigers will start Kim Yu-sin; he is not having a season to remember. His record is 1-6 on the season and he has an ERA of 7.80. Though he has not faced the Eagles, it is hard to trust him here. The Eagles showed some reliance in Wednesday’s game, scoring 6 runs in the top of the 9th to salvage a tie, so backing the Eagles on Thursday looks to be the play with a questionable pitcher for Kia.
Lotte Giants vs NC Dinos – Under 11.5 Runs (-115)
The game on Wednesday morning saw 9 runs scored, which is still too low. Another game like 6-4 or 6-3 seems the most likely case here as both teams may have some trouble hitting these pitchers. The Giants are 3rd in runs scored this season, but last in runs allowed. As for the Dinos, they are 4th in the runs scored and 6th in runs allowed. Still, the pitchers here have the advantage because their opponents have seen them very little this season. For that reason, backing the under will be the play.
KT Wiz vs Kiwoom Heroes – Under 9.5 Runs (-115)
Um Sang-Back (KT Wiz) has not pitched in the KBO since 2019, so perhaps he has been able to improve in his time off. Also, the Heroes are just not scoring much against KT Wiz pitching, regardless who is on the mound. The same goes for the KT Wiz offense, who has scored a total of 2 runs in the current series. With Kim Dong-hyeok also having some success against the KT Wiz this season, the under looks to be worth another play.
For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +553.
