KBO betting odds

Here are the KBO betting odds for Thursday, July 30th courtesy of FanDuel sportsbook.

  • Hanwha Eagles (+198) @ Samsung Lions (-250)
  • KT Wiz (-102) @ Kia Tigers (-118)
  • Kiwoom Heroes (+114) @ Doosan Bears (-138)
  • LG Twins (-120) @ SK Wyverns (-102)
  • NC Dinos (-320) @ Lotte Giants (+245)

KBO picks and predictions

Thursday’s five-game slate will feature one of the top pitchers in the entire KBO. That being Drew Rucinski for the NC Dinos. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

NC Dinos/Lotte Giants Under 10.5 (-112)

The Dinos come into this game having lost three games in a row, but enter Thursday’s game with a massive pitching advantage. They will put Drew Rucinski on the mound, who has a record of 10-1 this season with a 1.99 ERA. He has been even more dominant over his past 6 starts, going a perfect 6-0, allowing 6 runs in 40 innings, which translates to an ERA of 1.35. Plus the Dinos are not exactly breaking the scoreboard, averaging just 4.8 runs per game over their last 5 games. With Rucinski’s presence on the mound, I am shocked that we have such a high total, regardless of who the pitcher is for the Lotte Giants. Therefore, I will look for Rucinski to continue his dominance and will the take under here in this game.

LG Twins Moneyline (-120)

This play on the Twins has a lot to do with who they have on the mound and how he has performed against the SK Wyverns. Chan-gyu Lim will be making the start, going 6-3 so far this season with a 3.73 ERA. He recently was called in as a relief pitcher, where he pitched 5.2 shutout innings against Doosan. In his last actual start, Lim went 6 shutout innings against the Hanwha Eagles. Against the Wyverns, Lim is 2-0 this season with an ERA of 1.89. The last time he faced them, he went 7 shutout innings and I expect a similar outing here against one of the KBO’s worst teams. The Twins are heating up, winning 4 of their last 5 games overall and 4 head to head meetings against the Wyverns. At this price, I will gladly back the Twins and look for them to continue their dominance.

KT Wiz Moneyline (-102)

The KT Wiz and Kia Tigers are desperately trying to get their series underway, but after postponements due to rain in each of the first 2 games, they will play just 1 game on Thursday. Odrisamer Despaigne will make the start for the KT Wiz. He is 7-5 on the season with a 4.41 ERA. He has no doubt struggled recently, but has posted quality numbers against Kia. In two starts against the Tigers, Despaigne is 2-0 with a 1.84 ERA. They are facing Hyun-jong Yang, who is 6-5 with a 6.00 ERA. Against KT Wiz, Yang is 1-1 with an even worse 6.50 ERA. At at short price, I believe the KT Wiz are worth a shot, especially with what I believe to be a pitching edge.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +587.
