KBO picks and predictions

Tuesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Samsung Lions Moneyline (+144)

The Lions will open this series by sending Tae-in Won to the mound. He is 5-2 on the season with a 3.56 ERA. Won did have some struggles in his last start, but overall he has been a decent pitcher. The Bears will be starting Seung-jin Lee, who will be making his first start of the season. In three relief appearances this year, Lee has pitched 1.1 innings, allowing three earned runs. While this may not sound like much, it gives him an ERA of 16.20.

There is just no way that I would lay nearly -180 with a pitcher who only has 1.1 innings of work the entire year. As such, I will take a shot at the underdog to pull off a big win.

NC Dinos/Hanwha Eagles Over 10.5 Runs (-116)

When you have an awful team like Hanwha, looking for runs tends to be the way to go. Starting this game for the last place Eagles will be Chad Bell. He is 0-6 on the season with a laughable 7.44 ERA. He has allowed at least five runs in three of his last five outings. Plus against the Dinos, he is 0-1 with an ERA of 15.75. In that one game against the Dinos, he allowed seven earned runs over four innings of work.

It is not like the NC Dinos are throwing out their best pitcher either as Jae-hak Lee looks to make the start. Lee is 4-5 on the season with a 6.04 ERA. He has also allowed five runs in two of his last three starts. The over is 4-0 in the last four games overall for the NC Dinos, so I look for their offense to keep it up against Chad Bell and the Eagles.

LG Twins Moneyline (-150)

The Tigers looked rough last week, losing three of their four games and scoring a total of seven runs combined. The Twins were more fortunate, winning four of their five games last week, which included a 24-7 win against the Hanwha Eagles.

To open this series for the Twins will be Tyler Wilson. He is 5-5 on the season with an ERA of 4.20. His last start was decent at best, allowing three runs over five innings to the SK Wyverns. The Tigers are expected to start Min-woo Lee, who is 4-4 with a 5.19 ERA. Really it comes down to the fact that the Kia offense have been ice cold, so I would still rather side with the Twins and their starter–who has been better recently.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +657.
