KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Doosan Bears/Samsung Lions Under 11.5 (-130)

First of all, neither offense is performing well, at least as of recently. Doosan is averaging 3.6 runs over their last five games, while Samsung have been even worse, scoring 1.8 runs per game. On the flip side, both defenses have held their own, the Bears allowing 2.8 runs per game and the Lions allowing 3.4 runs.

Head to head, these teams have seen their last seven games in a row stay under the total and I look for the same here. This total is very inflated because of the offense Doosan is known to provide, but they just have not been on their A-game, so I cannot possibly back an over.

NC Dinos/Lotte Giants Under 8.5 Runs (+108)

Easily the best match-up on Wednesday will see two of the top pitchers in the KBO go head to head. That being Drew Rucinski for the NC Dinos and Dan Straily for the Lotte Giants. Rucinski is 11-2 on the season with an ERA of 2.31. He has allowed one run or less in six of his last seven starts, giving him an ERA of 1.84 during this stretch.

Straily has been just as impressive, posting a record of 6-3 with an ERA of 1.99. He has allowed no more than two earned runs in his last seven starts, giving him a minuscule ERA of 1.48 over that stretch. Plus, both teams are averaging no more than five runs in each of their last five games, so it is safe to believe this one will be one of the better pitching duels of the season.

KIA Tigers Run Line -1.5 (+124)

The Tigers had no trouble taking down the LG Twins on Tuesday morning, and with their stud on the mound, I look for another convincing win. That being Aaron Brooks, who is 7-3 on the year, posting an ERA of 2.32. He has never allowed more than four earned run in a game this season, further proving his ability to keep his team in the game. He also has a good track record against the Twins, going 1-1 against them this season with an ERA of 1.93. The Tigers are averaging 5.8 runs per game over their last five, while the Twins are only scoring 2.4 runs. I think the pitching for Kia will be too strong and the Tigers will win this game by a least a few runs.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +724.
