KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kiwoom Heroes/NC Dinos Under 10.5 Runs (+102)

The Heroes will start Jake Brigham, who is 2-2 with an ERA of 4.43. He had a solid outing recently, allowing just one run over 6.0 innings. He has been exceptional against the NC Dinos. In his lone start against them, he allowed just one run over 5.0 innings.

Starting this game for the NC Dinos will be Min-hyuk Shin. He made his first start of the season last time out, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing two runs. He has an ERA of 2.53 for the season.

Game one stayed under the total and I can see a similar game playing out in game two. The Heroes have been lacking offense recently, averaging just 3.4 runs per game over their last five. The same goes for their defense, who is allowing 3.4 runs per game as well during the same five-game stretch. The under is 9-1 in the Heroes last 10 games, and I will back another lower scoring game here.

KT Wiz Money Line (-136)

This is another game where we are looking to pick on the low quality pitching. That being Ben Lively for the Samsung Lions. He is currently 2-5 on the season, with an ERA of 4.69. He continues to be inconsistent, allowing eight runs over his last 16.0 innings (three starts). His one start against the KT Wiz saw him allow two runs in just 1.0 inning.

Odrisamer Despaigne will make the start on the other side for the KT Wiz. He is 10-5 with a 3.98 ERA. He has been brilliant over his last five starts, allowing seven runs over his last 30.2 innings. That gives him an ERA of 2.05 over this stretch. I cannot trust Ben Lively here, so I will take the KT Wiz to win.

Doosan Bears Money Line (-120)

This play is more so directed against the Lotte Giants starter rather than a play on the Doosan starter. The Giants will send Adrian Sampson to the mound, who is 3-7 and has an ERA of 7.20. He has been absolutely horrid over his last three starts in particular, allowing 15 runs over his last 8.2 innings. That translates to an ERA of 15.58 over these three starts.

Young-ha Lee will be the Doosan starter, who is 3-7 with a 5.25 ERA. He has been better as of late, allowing just six runs over his last 17.0 innings. He also has been very solid against the Giants, posting an ERA of 2.41. I have no interest backing Sampson here, so I will back a Doosan win.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +542.
