KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s five-game slate will feature two of the top three teams going head to head. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kiwoom Heroes @ Doosan Bears Under 10.5 (-106)

It was a bit of a sweat, but our under play ended up cashing on Tuesday morning after a 6-2 final score. That makes it 5 unders in a row for Kiwoom and 7 in a row for Doosan. The Bears offense has clearly taken a step back, averaging 3.8 runs per game over their last 5 games, while allowing 4.4 runs. Same goes with Kiwoom, who are scoring 4 runs, allowing 3.8 over their last 5. It is true that Seung-ho Lee (Kiwoom’s starting pitcher) has been inconsistently bad for the Heroes this season, but he did pitch the Bears well in one appearance against them, so I believe he will be able to hold his own. I also just cannot trust either offense from what I have seen recently, so another under play looks to be the way to go.

LG Twins @ SK Wyverns Over 10.5 (-116)

You would have thought that football was back as the Twins dismantled the Wyverns 24-7 on Tuesday morning. That makes it 5 overs in a row for the Wyverns, so clearly the runs are coming. SK is also averaging 7.8 runs per game during this stretch, while allowing 8.8 runs on average after the beating they took on Tuesday. The Wyverns pitcher for Wednesday does not offer much confidence in an under either, as Seung-geon Baek is 0-2 with a 7.62 ERA. Because of that 24 run game, the Twins are averaging 9.6 runs of their own over their last 5 games, allowing 5.6 runs. I do not think we will see 31 runs in total scored again, but we will see enough for the total to go over.

Hanwha Eagles @ Samsung Lions Over 9.5 (-122)

I tried to use this play yesterday, but the game was cancelled due to rain. Looking at the starters, Samsung’s Tae-in Won has posted an overall record of 5-2 with an ERA of 3.12. This is pretty good, but when you look closer at his numbers you will see that he has been struggling, posting an ERA of 4.63 over his last 4 starts. Hanwha’s Bum-soo Kim has been inconsistent all season. He has a record of 3-6 with an ERA of 4.29. Hanwha also have by far the worst defense in the KBO, allowing about 6 runs per game. The over is 3-0 in both teams last 3 games and 2-1 in their three head to head games this season. I expect runs even after a day off and would take the over.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +558.
