KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Hanwha Eagles/Doosan Bears Over 8.5 Runs (-116)

I am going to fade both of these pitchers and will be looking for a flurry of runs to be scored. Starting with the Eagles, they will start Min-woo Kim, who is 5-9 on the season with an ERA of 4.44. His last five starts have really seen him struggle, allowing 15 runs over his last 23.0 innings.

For the Bears, Chris Flexen will make the start. He is 6-4 this season with an ERA of 3.53. The issue with Flexen is that his ERA is 9.00 against this Hanwha team. That is over a span of two starts. The over is also 4-1 in the last five head-to-head meetings between these two teams.

KT Wiz Money Line (-130)

Starting this game for the Kiwoom Heroes and looking to help them bounce back will be Won-tae Choi. He is 6-6 on the season, but has a below average ERA of 5.14. His last five starts in particular have resulted in plenty of struggles. During this stretch, he has allowed 15 runs over his last 21.2 innings.

On the other side, will be Je-seung Bae for the KT Wiz. He is 9-4 on the season but has an ERA of 4.05. At the very least, his last five starts have been much better, allowing just five runs over his last 27.2 innings pitched. The KT Wiz look to be on a roll right now and with the better pitcher, I will be backing them to win this game.

Samsung Lions Money Line (-128)

Here we will be looking to back the Samsung Lions in a game in which they will start Chae-heung Choi. He is 9-6 on the season with an ERA of 3.85. His last five starts have been very solid, as well, allowing 11 runs over his last 32.0 innings. This stretch includes a complete-game shutout.

The Wyverns will counter with Young-woo Jo. He is 2-3 on the year with an ERA of 5.71. His last five starts have not looked as good, allowing 12 runs over his last 25.1 innings. These two teams may be near the bottom of the standings, but the Lions are still just the better team and with a pitching edge, I like them to win.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +486.
