KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz/Lotte Giants Under 9.5 Runs (+100)

We have one outstanding pitcher here in this game, that being Dan Straily for the Lotte Giants. He has posted an ERA of 2.53 this season with a record of 12-4. His last three starts have seen him allow two runs over 19.0 innings. He also has been lights out against the KT Wiz in general, allowing two runs over 19.2 innings.

Dae-eun Lee will be the starter for the KT Wiz, but he has not been as great. His record on the year is 0-4 with an ERA of 5.91. His only appearances against the Giants have been in relief, so it is not as fair to judge him based on just a handful of innings. He has not allowed a run in his last five relief appearances, so I do think he will be fine here against this offense. With the dominance for Straily, I can only look to the under in this game.

SK Wyverns +1.5 Run Line (-104)

The Bears will start Won-jun Jang here, who has had just one start this entire season. That lone start did not go well, where he allowed four runs over 4.0 innings to the Hanwha Eagles.

Ricardo Pinto will be the starter for the Wyverns and he has not been any better. His overall record is 5-14 this season and he has an ERA of 6.29. At the very least, he has allowed just two runs over his last three starts. That being over a span of his last 19.0 innings.

I normally am not excited about backing the Wyverns, but laying nearly -200 with a pitcher with one start is crazy. I do not expect the Wyverns to win, however I will back them on the run line because Pinto is proving to be better.

Samsung Lions/LG Twins Over 9.5 Runs (-110)

I want to make a case for a high scoring game because of the lack in starting pitching. Yoon-dong Heo will be the guy for the Lions, posting an ERA of 5.40. His last five starts have been well below average, allowing 12 runs over his last 14.1 innings. He also struggles with going deep into games, with his last three starts not going more than 3.0 innings. Heo has an ERA of 5.54 against the Twins, showing he has not fared well against them.

Chan-gyu Lim will start for the Twins and he has had his fair share of struggles as well. He has an ERA of 4.34 and has allowed 16 runs over his last 23.0 innings. Lim also has a 6.00 ERA against the Lions.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +648.
