KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s five-game slate will feature some lopsided matchups that offer value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

SK Wyverns/NC Dinos Under 11.5 (-108)

Starting this game for the Wyverns will be Geon-wook Lee. He is 6-8 on the season with an ERA of 5.19. The Dinos starter, Young-gyu Kim, has not been great by any means, posting a record of 1-1 with an ERA of 6.09. Though his last four starts have been better, allowing nine runs over his last 18.0 innings. Still an ERA of 4.50, but it has been better than his mound opponent. Kim has made three appearances against the Wyverns, allowing one run over 8.0 innings.

The Wyverns are averaging 4.6 runs over their last five games, while allowing 4.8 runs over the same stretch. The Dinos are scoring 8.0 runs over the same five-game stretch and are allowing 2.8 runs. The under is 3-1 in the last four games for the NC Dinos, so with a high total, I will back the under.

Kia Tigers/Kiwoom Heroes Under 8.5 (-128)

Looking to back two solid pitchers here to keep these offenses in check and keep this a lower scoring game. Drew Gagnon will be the starter for the Tigers and he is 9-5 with an ERA of 4.05. Focusing more on his last five starts, he has allowed eight runs over his last 31.1 innings.

Eric Jokisch will start on the other side for the Heroes. He is 12-4 with an ERA of 2.07. Over his last five starts, he has allowed six runs over 35.0 innings. He also has an ERA of 0.69 against the Tigers. I will therefore look for these guys to continue pitching well, and will back the under.

LG Twins Money Line (-150)

It may be a little bit of a high price, but we will be looking to back the Twins, who have the clear pitching advantage. They will be starting Chan-heon Jung, who is 6-3 with an ERA of 3.66. He has been even better recently, allowing 11 runs over his last 28.1 innings.

This play is more so a fade of the Lotte Giants starter, Se-woong Park. He has an ERA of 4.31 with a record of 8-7. His last five starts have seen him allow 13 runs over his last 28.0 innings. In two starts against the Twins, Park has allowed nine runs over 10.o innings. Because of the struggles of Park, I will back the Twins to win.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +471.
