Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski (32) celebrates striking out a batter in the fifth inning against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.

The week in Major League Baseball continues with a full 15-game slate on Saturday. It is headlined by a couple of regionally televised showdowns on FOX at 7:15 pm ET, with the Dodgers hosting the Cubs and the Tigers visiting the Reds. Other matchups include Phillies vs Braves, Yankees vs Astros and Red Sox vs Orioles.

Here are my best bets, and also make sure to check out our MLB picks for predictions throughout the 2026 season.

Miami Marlins vs San Francisco Giants Under 7.5 (-110)

Quite simply, the Giants’ offense stinks. They are dead last in all of Major League Baseball in runs scored (85) with room to spare (no other club has fewer than 91). San Francisco had gone 4 straight games without crossing the plate more than 3 times before they did so 4 times on Friday. The home side will have a tough time generating much of anything on Saturday against Miami starter Eury Perez, who fired 6.0 innings of shutout baseball with 7 strikeouts and just 1 run during his most recent appearance against Milwaukee. The Giants have little familiarity in this matchup, which should give Perez an advantage. The Giants’ current lineup is a combined 3-for-8 lifetime against Perez with 1 extra-base hit (a double by Matt Chapman). Fortunately for San Francisco, it should also be able to subdue Miami’s bats. Robbie Ray is taking the mound and has not delivered a single poor start in 2026. His worst stat line is 6.0 innings with 3 runs allowed. The southpaw’s most recent home start saw him work 6.0 innings without giving up a single run to the Phillies. Ray has absolutely owned this Marlins lineup, which is a combined 2-for-17 lifetime against him with zero extra-base hits and 9 strikeouts.

Milwaukee Brewers ML over Pittsburgh Pirates (-132)

Milwaukee is sending Jacob Misiorowski to the bump. Misiorowski comes in with a 3.04 ERA and 1.09 WHIP to go along with 42 strikeouts and only 12 walks through 26.2 innings of work. The right-hander has not allowed more than 3 runs in any start and has given up more than 2 on only 1 occasion. In his young career, Misiorowski already has a history of dominating the Pirates. Their current lineup is a combined 2-for-23 with zero extra-base hits and 10 strikeouts. Oneil Cruz is 0-for-5 with 4 strikeouts. Pittsburgh is countering with Mitch Keller, who is a solid pitcher – but at least the Brewers do not have to face Paul Skenes like they did on Friday. The Pirates have knocked Keller around quite a bit in recent seasons. William Contreras is 7-for-24 with 2 home runs; Jake Bauers is 5-for-13 with a homer; Sal Frelick is 6-for-16 with 4 doubles; Joey Ortiz is 6-for-12 with a triple and a double. Contreras is batting .310 in April and in only 3 games this month has he gone without at least 1 hit. He has delivered 4 multi-hit performances in his last 10 games. Milwaukee’s setback on Friday extended its losing streak to 3 games, but the club still owns a winning record overall (13-12) and at home (7-6). Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has not won back-to-back games since April 10-11.

The Athletics ML over Texas Rangers (+116)

Jeffrey Springs is taking the mound for the Athletics and he has been stellar so far this spring. The left-hander is 3-1 with a 3.34 ERA and 0.98 WHIP to go along with a 27-to-9 strikeout-to-walk ratio through 29.2 innings of work. Springs has a successful history against the Rangers’ lineup, which is a combined 14-for-64 lifetime against him (.219 average). Texas is countering with MacKenzie Gore, who came over from Washington on the heels of 3 mediocre seasons with the Nats. More mediocrity has been on display in 2026, as Gore sports a 2-2 record with a 4.15 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. Gore really can’t be trusted given his control issues. The southpaw has issued 12 walks this year, including 9 in his last 3 starts. He has been torched by these A’s hitters in the past, as they are a combined 20-for-46 against him (.435 average) with almost as many walks (9) as strikeouts (10). Texas has lost 3 of Gore’s last 4 outings, including a 2-1 setback against the Athletics on April 14.
