Hurricanes -1.5 (+180)

Sabres ML (+140)

Kings -1.5 (+120)

Parlay Odds +1479

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 over the Washington Capitals (+180)

This is a potential first-round matchup for the playoffs. If the postseason started today, the Carolina Hurricanes would have home-ice advantage against the Washington Capitals. Both teams are going to want to have a statement game. Ten days ago, these teams met and the Hurricanes took a surprising 4-3 loss. They’ll be looking for some revenge tonight, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see a Hurricanes blowout as they try to set the tone for the upcoming playoffs.

Head coach Rod Brind’Amour is the best coach in the NHL — not only will he know how to bounce back against the Caps, but he can light a fire under his team like nobody else in the league. The Hurricanes need to get back to their basics, defense first. They’re at the top of the league standings for a reason, and they can’t afford to lose 2 games in a row to the Capitals. They’ve allowed the fewest goals per game, second-fewest shots per game and have the number one ranked penalty kill. Take Carolina on the puck line tonight.

Buffalo Sabres ML over the Chicago Blackhawks (+140)

The Buffalo Sabres, while almost eliminated from playoff contention, have shown a ton of heart recently. They’ve won 5 of their last 10 games, defeating teams such as the Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Calgary Flames. Additionally, their last 5 games have all gone to overtime or a shootout, and 4 of those were against playoff teams.

Although they’re a young team, the Sabres are a better team than the Chicago Blackhawks, especially recently. The Sabres being a heavy underdog in this matchup provides bettors with great value. In the Hawks’ last 10 games, they’ve only won 4 and are allowing 3.5 goals per game while posting a combined save percentage over .898. These teams haven’t played each other in more than 2 years, so there is an element of the unknown. However, with how the Sabres have been performing against playoff-caliber teams, Chicago might be an easy victory for them. Take them on the money line tonight.

Los Angeles Kings -1.5 over the Seattle Kraken (+120)

This is a rematch from Saturday night where the Los Angeles Kings defeated the Seattle Kraken 4-2. The Kings dominated the faceoff circles, winning 64.4% of draws. LA also held the Kraken to just 5 shots in the first period. If the Kings can have a similar performance in the faceoff circle, they’ll be able to control the pace of play and add another win tonight.

The Kings are a much better team, and they have more to fight for. They’re currently in a battle for playoff positioning. Sitting in 2nd place in the Pacific Division, the Kings have a lead of 4 points over the 3rd-place Edmonton Oilers, and they’re 7 points behind the Calgary Flames for first place. For Los Angeles, tonight’s game is circled on the calendar as an easy two points. They just need to go out and execute. Take the Kings to repeat their performance from Saturday night and cover the -1.5 spread.
