Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks look to stay unbeaten on the young NBA season as they host Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets in a matchup of Eastern Conference juggernauts. Tip-off is at 7:30 pm ET and you can catch the game live on ESPN as the first part of their doubleheader. My Lakers vs Nuggets Same Game Parlay for the later game is also available.

Now let’s get into the Nets vs Bucks matchup.

Brooklyn Nets 1–10 win margin (+230)

Grayson Allen over 2.5 made threes (+134)

Brook Lopez over 11.5 points (-114)

Parlay odds: +1463

Brooklyn Nets 1–10 win margin (+230)

Whenever the Bucks and Nets clash it’s must-see TV. Their previous 2 regular-season meetings both went down the wire and were decided by 1 and 3 points. The Nets came out on top in the last meeting played in Milwaukee and after their disappointing loss at Memphis the other day I am expecting them to bounce back. Milwaukee has had some issues covering the spread in home games lately, going just 2-8 ATS in the last 10, which tells me they aren’t as dominant at home as some people might think.

The absence of Khris Middleton definitely hurts them here. Against a team like Houston that didn’t matter, but when they’re facing an offensive force like the Nets they need every single player to step up in order to keep up with the scoring. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are both in mid-season form after scoring 37 points each on the Grizzlies, so the loss should be a wake-up call and I expect a response from the talented duo. The Nets can come out on top in a close one.

Grayson Allen over 2.5 made threes (+134)

Grayson Allen was in my same-game parlay for the Bucks vs Sixers game on opening night and he let me down, scoring only 2 threes on 6 attempts. To rub salt on the wound he connected on both of those threes in the first 4 minutes of the game and then went cold the rest of the way, so I’m expecting him to make up for it in tonight’s game.

So far through 2 games he is getting 6.5 attempts from 3-point range per game, and that number could go up tonight as the Nets are really struggling with their perimeter defense, allowing teams to make 44.3% of their 3-point attempts. Middleton not playing means there should be an extra 16 shot attempts for Allen, Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton to take, and I think Allen is our best bet since he is the only starter out of those 3 players.

Brook Lopez over 11.5 points (-114)

Brook Lopez is averaging 13 points in 2 games after going for 17 in the season opener against Philly and 9 against Houston. He gets a favorable matchup tonight against the Nets, who don’t really have an interior presence outside of Nic Claxton, who isn’t really built to handle Lopez down low. The Bucks big man can also use his versatility and step outside and shoot from the perimeter, and Brooklyn could have a tough time staying in front of him.

In 12 regular-season games against the Nets he is averaging 13.2 points and when these teams met in the playoffs a couple of years he averaged 11.4 points while going for 19 in the crucial Game 7 which sent the Nets home. As far as opponent paint-scoring goes, the Nets are only 25th in the NBA, allowing 55.3 points per game from the inside, so look for Brook to get his offensive numbers tonight.
