NBA Friday parlay at mega (+741 odds) today 11/18: No luck needed for Celtics

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (0) and guard Derrick White (9) react after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder at the TD Garden.

The NBA wraps up the work week with an 11-game slate on Friday night. There are several key matchups happening, including the Bucks visiting the 76ers, the Suns taking on the Jazz and the Knicks battling the Warriors. With so many games, I’ve found a few edges that make up today’s mega parlay. So without further ado, let’s get right into it!

Here is a look at today’s mega parlay.

Bucks ML (+110)

Celtics -2.5 (-110)

Jazz ML (+110)

Parlay odds: +741

For this 3-leg parlay we are going with 1 favorite against the spread and 2 underdogs on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3.

Milwaukee Bucks ML (+110) over Philadelphia 76ers

Fresh off his 59-point performance, Joel Embiid will take on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks on Friday night. Since losing James Harden, the 76ers have relied heavily on Embiid for the majority of their offensive production. It’s worked for the most part, but when Embiid has faced a big man that matches up well with him, he hasn’t been as effective. That will be the case on Friday as Antetokounmpo will limit Embiid in the paint. That forces the 76ers star to dish the ball to Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey on the perimeter, which could cause a sluggish start from Philadelphia.

The Bucks rank 5th in 3-pointers allowed this season and have defended shooters well, so if Antetokounmpo can hold Embiid to 30 points or less, it gives Milwaukee an excellent chance to win.

Boston Celtics -2.5 (-110) over New Orleans Pelicans

Boston was known for their defense last season, but it’s been their offense that’s been the story this year. They’ve won their last 8 games in a row, and in that span, they rank 1st in offensive rating and 10th in defensive rating. The duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown has been nearly unstoppable, and despite missing Robert Williams in the paint, Al Horford has taken on the brunt of the responsibility.

The veteran might be taking on one of the youngest stars in the league, Zion Williamson, but the former Duke star is questionable with an ankle injury. He sat out the last game and could sit again for an extended rest period since New Orleans’ next game isn’t until Monday. If that happens, Boston will dominate from the perimeter and should win this game by far more than a handful of points. But even if Williamson does play, Boston is far more talented than the Pelicans.

Utah Jazz ML (+110) over Phoenix Suns

Despite Steph Curry scoring a 50-burger, Phoenix was able to win by double-digits in their last game against the Warriors. However, that was because the Suns shot over 50% from the field and over 52% from deep. That success from deep is unlikely to be reciprocated against Utah, as the Jazz rank 1st in 3-pointers allowed and 3rd in 3-point percentage. Utah has not played since Tuesday when they were upset by the Knicks, which gives them a slight rest advantage since the Suns have already played 2 games this week.

On offense, the Jazz live on the perimeter. Utah doesn’t have a dominant big man, which is partly why they rank 3rd in 3-pointers attempted and 5th in 3-pointers made. The Jazz can give the Suns a taste of their own medicine by beating them from deep on Friday night.
