Kyrie Irving to Record 8+ Assists (+150)

Irving’s numbers have gone up across the board during the time that Kevin Durant has been away from the team, which isn’t all that surprising. His assists, in particular, have gone up to 7.2 per game over his last 9 outings and he’s also cleared this line 3 times in his last 4 games, all of which against teams are playoff bound (Knicks, 76ers, Warriors). The Lakers are a bottom 10 team in the NBA in opponent assists per game, so they could have a tough time slowing down the ball movement here. Irving missed the first meeting of the season vs LA. In fact he hasn’t played them since April 2021, so I’m sure he will be fired up to have a good game here. With Simmons out of the line-up the Nets have no real point-guard to replace him, so I think we can count on him to play at least 40 minutes or even more if it’s a close game. Count on Irving to deliver the assists.

Joe Harris 4+ Made Threes (+280)

Harris has been making headlines with his three-point efficiency recently. He’s been lethal from distance averaging 49% of made shots over his last 10 games. In his last 9 appearances he’s made 4 threes a total of 4 times, and interestingly enough he has attempted 0 (yes, zero) free throws during that stretch which tells me that he’s got only one job when he’s out there and that is to shoot as many three-balls as he can. He was on fire in his last game going 4-for-7 vs the Knicks and finishing with 16 points.

The Lakers haven’t really excelled in defending the perimeter, as teams are averaging 36.1% of made shots against them on the road this season. In the first meeting of the season vs LA he shot exactly 50% in the game played at crypto.com Arena. The absences of Kevin Durant, T.J. Warren and Ben Simmons only add to his usage rate here and vs the high paced Lakers who average 104.1 possessions per game. I’m expecting him to attempt at least 7 or 8 threes tonight.

Monday’s NBA Mega Parlay has 3 legs and +1338 odds!
