Boston Celtics -8.0 (-108) over Miami Heat

Emotions will be high in Thursday’s game at TD Garden after the Celtics beatdown of Miami in Game 4. After that embarrassing loss in Game 3, not a lot of Celtics fans expected their team to be back for another game, but here we are. If there was ever a game fans needed to lift their team for, it’s tonight’s. As a city Boston has experience with teams coming back from 3-0 deficits, the Red Sox did it back in 2004 over the NY Yankees, can you imagine the Celtics doing the same here? The odds are against them, but Game 4 gave them a glimmer of hope as we finally saw the Celtics that dominated the regular season, as opposed to the one that seemingly quit on the defensive end in the last 2 series of the postseason. Jayson Tatum finally woke up, but Game 5 won’t be all about him I believe. In Tuesday’s victory, the Celtics recorded 28 assists and played stellar defense, that is the way to another win tonight and I’m confident they’ll win this one with ease and force a Game 6.

Malcolm Brogdon to Score 15+ Points (+500)

It’s not been the best of series for Brogdon, especially over the past 2 games with just 2 points scored total. That all changes tonight, and we’re getting an impressive +500 odds for him to get to 15 points. He’s done that a total of 8 times already in this postseason, including Game 1 of this series. In Game 2, he fell short by just 2 points, so obviously playing at home brings the best out of him. He averaged 14.3 points per game during the regular season at TD Garden on over 48% shooting. Against the Heat, he shot 58.3% from three in 3 regular season games. When the perimeter shot is falling, Boston usually wins in the postseason. Without a solid contribution from Brogdon, I don’t think they can turn this around.

Al Horford Over 1.5 Made Threes (-130)

Another player that has left a lot to be desired in this series so far is big Al Horford. Although he’s averaging only 6.8 points in the postseason so far, he has come to life in the last 2 games with 8 and 12 points respectively. More importantly for us he’s been letting it fly from three-point land and his shots are falling. He’s cleared this line in back-to-back games now, doing it for the 8th and 9th time in the 3 rounds so far. Horford is a difference maker primarily because of his experience. He has come up big in recent elimination games clearing this line in 3 of his last 4 played, with 2 of those coming at home. In the Game 4 victory, the Heat were almost daring him to shoot which has led to some really solid looks. With Tatum, Brown, Brogdon and Smart all drawing more attention than him on offense, big Al can go under the radar here and to punish the Heat.
