NBA Saturday Same Game Parlay (+1041 odds): Portland Trail Blazers vs Denver Nuggets

CJ McCollum Trail Blazers

Now that it’s over, we can be honest with ourselves. The NBA playoffs really start on Saturday. The play-in stuff was nice. It was free basketball for us to bet on. We’ll never complain about that but Saturday we’ll see the real teams go. Two teams like the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets. ESPN has set us up perfectly for this one. It’s on late (10:30pm ET) and those of us that are still in our prime call that time slot the jackpot. We’ll be properly gassed up from the earlier games and that my friends, is the perfect time to lay down a same-game parlay! Especially a CJ McCollum parlay.

CJ McCollum to record 4+ made threes (+164)

It’s CJ McCollum night and any CJ parlay has to include three-pointers. The Trail Blazers will need all McCollum has and I think he gives it to them. McCollum has the green light to just jack up threes all night so the volume should be there. Over his last five games, he’s taken at least nine three-point attempts in four of them. He hit at least four in all of those games. McCollum appears to be finally healthy again and if Denver pays too much attention to Damian Lillard, McCollum will burn them.

CJ McCollum over 22.5 points (-104)

Correlation is helpful when parlaying bets and this correlates nicely. Obviously, if McCollum hits four threes, then he is more than halfway home. McCollum has topped this number in each of his last five games so he is in good form. In the Trail Blazers’ last game against the Nuggets, he went for 24. There is an asterisk in that one though since Denver opted to pull their starters but still, 24 points is 24 points. The point is, if McCollum is “on” enough to hit four threes, he is highly likely to go over 22.5 points.

CJ McCollum over 4.5 assists (+110) *Alt line

McCollum isn’t just a scorer for the Trail Blazers these days as he is showing out in the assist market as well. Over his last four games, McCollum has topped this number in three of them. The time he didn’t, he finished with four assists. In those four games, McCollum has seen 8.5 potential assists per game which is a healthy number for this line. Denver ranked 27th in the NBA in opponent assists per made field goal so they are a decent target here. People helping people, it’s powerful stuff!

CJ McCollum under 5.5 rebounds (-270) *Alt line

I know this is -270 but this number seems pretty unattainable for McCollum. He’s played 13 straight games grabbing fewer than six rebounds. We have to go all the way back to April 23 against the Memphis Grizzlies to see him go over this number. In fact, in 47 games played for the Trail Blazers this season, McCollum had more than six rebounds only nine times. I would expect him to miss this mark again and go under 5.5 rebounds on the night.
