Over 228 (-108)

Adding Russell Westbrook to your team guarantees one thing and that is an increase in pace. The last few Clippers games have been off the charts scoring wise, 4 of their last 6 have seen at least 256 points scored. On Monday, they allowed 129 points against a Grizzlies team without Ja Morant, with 51 of those coming in the 3rd quarter. The defense just isn’t there with Westbrook starting at the point guard position, an Toronto will benefit from that as well. They rank higher than the Clippers in offensive efficiency this season, plus 12 of their last 18 games on the road have all gone over the total. Although the Clippers do have a record favoring the under at home, most of those games happened when Russ wasn’t there. Lately, they’ve gone over the total in 6 of 8 games, and in 5 of 6 vs Atlantic Division teams. I think we’ll see at least 235 points in this game.

Paul George to Score 30+ Points (+300)

I’d argue the increase in tempo since Russ arrived has benefited Paul George the most out of anyone on this roster. He’s coming off one of his best games of the season as he dropped 42 points on the Memphis Grizzlies, going to the free throw line 15 times. That was the 4th time in his last 6 games he’s attempted double-digit free-throw attempts, which tells us he’s more than aggressive when his jumper isn’t falling. It’s always easier to pile up the points when you have a player who isn’t afraid to take it to the basket. Toronto doesn’t really have an inside presence, as they allow 50.7 points per game from inside the paint when playing away from home this season. With all the attention of the Raptors defense being on their former teammate Kawhi, PG13 has a great opportunity for another big scoring night here.

Fred VanVleet Over 7.5 Assists (-148)

VanVleet’s efficiency from the floor has been up and down lately, but his assists numbers have been off the charts in the last 7 games. He’s upped his average from 6.9 on the season to 9.6 during that stretch, plus he’s coming off a 14-assist game in the loss to Denver on Monday. I really like his matchup against Russell Westbrook tonight since he has been a defensive liability ever since arriving to the Clippers. VanVleet is on a streak of 3 straight games with 7 assists against Russ head-to-head, while against the Clippers, he’s averaging 8.7 assists per game in the last 7 games played.

Teams have averaged 27.7 assists per game vs LA in their last 3 games. A shorthanded Memphis team without Ja Morant managed 32 against them a couple of nights ago, which is also encouraging for our bet. In a fast paced game everyone’s numbers should go up, and after seeing him get 14 dimes vs Denver I’m sure VanVleet can get to 8 tonight.
