I'm an NFL handicapper here at Pickswise who was raised in a household full of sports fanatics. Since I unfortunately never had LeBron James' jumping ability I wasn't able to make it to the NBA, and chose writing about sports as the next best thing. An avid sports bettor myself, I'm excited to get to write about the industry as it gets set to take off across the country. Buckle up. The NBA has a nice small slate on Tuesday, with a couple of nationally televised clashes. What better way to celebrate than by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NBA edition. We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time.

I just hit the NFL Week 11 mega parlay at 17/1 on Sunday, now let’s do it for basketball! But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every NBA game.

Miami Heat -9 (-110)

Denver Nuggets ML (+235)

Dallas Mavericks ML (+168)

Parlay odds: +1613

Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Miami Heat -9 (-110) over Detroit Pistons

To start off this parlay we are keeping things tame. Give me the Heat on the spread. For a rebuilding team like the Pistons to keep games close against better teams, they need to catch them off guard and out-hustle them. Nobody out-hustles Jimmy Butler and the Heat. You certainly don’t ever catch them off-guard. If there’s one thing you’re guaranteed from a Heat team, it’s that they’re going to play hard against any opponent.

The Pistons are a team that just lost by 22 to the lowly Kings the other day. Meanwhile, the Heat have won four of five —  with the only loss in that span coming by just three points on the road against the Wizards. Miami plays physically and intense on defense, and it has given up 98 points or fewer in three of four. Detroit won’t be scoring much at all on Tuesday.

Denver Nuggets ML (+235) over Portland Trail Blazers

Now to make this parlay a bit spicy…. The Nuggets have struggled a bit recently, but they’ve been shorthanded. It looks like Nikola Jokic might return from his wrist injury’ he is listed as questionable. If he does play, we’re getting a ton of value at this number. If he doesn’t play, I still think Denver has a good chance to win. When these teams just played each other in Denver last week, the Nuggets won by 29.

The Nugs need this game like blood to stop this losing skid, and with this being a nationally televised primetime showdown, we’ll see their absolute best effort no matter who is on the floor. Will Barton is having a great season, and I’m simply not too scared of this Trail Blazers team.

Dallas Mavericks ML (+168) over Los Angeles Clippers

What better way to wrap up this mega parlay than with another money line ‘dog?]] I’m going with the Mavericks in the nightcap of the slate. The Clippers are dealing with some distractions, as they just canceled their shoot-around on Tuesday due to COVID-19 concerns. Nic Batum just entered the health and safety protocols. The Mavs have lost three in a row, but all three of those were very close games on the road against the Clippers and Suns (twice).

Right before that they had won five of six with the only loss coming on the road in Chicago. Dallas very nearly beat Los Angeles on Sunday, and that was without Luka Doncic in the lineup. If Doncic suits up (he is questionable), I love this play. The Clippers are being severely overrated and have played an incredibly easy schedule.
